You know what they say about an Apple a day! Using harvest fresh Pumpkin as the #1 ingredient creates a unique sensory experience for you and your pet. Since Pumpkin is classified as a fruit in botanical terms and a vegetable in culinary terms, these treats naturally became Fruitables! Delight your loveable dogs with the amazing aromas, irresistible tastes and satisfying crunch of these unique, all-natural, bite-sized treats. They’re also free of corn, wheat, soy and artificial colors, ingredients or preservatives. Imagine using the finest ingredients in your pantry to create a kitchen filling, delicious muffin aroma that tastes as great as it smells! Fruitables takes the same approach to baking our treats, making it easy for you to indulge and enjoy giving to your pet. Rich in antioxidants, high in fiber and with under 9 calories per treat, Fruitables are also a sensible way to treat/reward your pet and avoid excessive “hidden” calories that often lead to pet obesity. Each recyclable 7 oz. pouch contains about 90 treats. Suitable for dogs of all sizes; plus many pet owners have written to tell us their horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, pet rats, birds and some cats absolutely crave Fruitables! Intended for supplemental feeding only, feed up to 4 treats per day for every 10 pounds your dog weighs.

Shepherds are a breed that's known to commonly have allergies, and I think my girl is allergic to something used in the formula. The 3 star review is NOT intended to be a criticism of the actual product, merely a heads up to other pet parents that even something that's healthy & good for most dogs might not be a good fit for yours. If you know your dog is sensitive to new foods---be extra careful. I thought I'd be okay, since my girl goes nuts for the homemade pumpkin, peanut butter, & cinnamon treats I give her with no bad effects; but something else in these really set her off.
Here's the full list of ingredients: Pumpkin, Oatmeal, Barley, Potatoes, Oat Fiber, Apples, Sunflower Oil, Dehydrated Cane Juice, Cinnamon, Natural Flavor, Vanilla, Mixed Tocopherols (to preserve freshness) ---mixed Tocopherals typically means vitamin E
Now. These Fruitables are all natural ingredients that I'd even eat them! My best friend also prefers I give them to her!
In the package, they look like flower shapes, plain, flat. When you turn them over, they have imprints that look like little daisies!
Gracie loves them and my neighbor's dog Macy does as well and bought an extra bag so she could have her own.
I'd highly recommend these treats as well as other non-meat Fruitables to give your pups healthier and cleaner foods. If we all considered what animals go through to get on plates and the impact it takes on the environment, even our own bodies, one would realize that more legumes, fruits and vegetables would be better for the planet.
Just my thoughts.
Raw pumpkin is not ideal for your do. So make sure you get these fruitables. They are cooked and ready for doggie. They smell so good that I want to almost eat them myself. Our dogs love treat time. These are a perfect size. They are fresh and have a good aroma to them.
Edibility/Quality: You will realize immediately that these have a pleasant fruity smell (makes sense with the ingredients). I have a smaller dog that often has trouble biting through some hard treats. That is not a problem with fruitables. He is able to quickly make the first break and chomp through the rest with no problem. He is also picky with food but gobbles these right up.
Digestion: I did not notice any adverse digestion issues when switching my dogs over to these treats.
Nutrition: I would say that these treats provide a good source of plant based vitamins and nutrients as a supplement to normal dog food. Both my dogs are around 13 years old and I have been feeding them fruits and vegetables with the regular dog food for sometime. Both are extremely healthy and of good weight. Don't be put-off by the lack of animal protein in this product.
Overall: I am a big fan of the fruitable treats and will continue to purchase these from Amazon when the price is below $4.00.
The Fruitables Pumpkin and Apple treats smell great. The ingredients are simple, they're made in the USA, they contain no animal products or by-products (though that's not true for all of the treats from this company), and they don't contain many of the common allergens found in dog treats (wheat, soy, corn).
Be aware that these treats are small (a little too small for my 90-lb lab who doesn't even realize he has eaten something when he gets one of these). And they're hard (my beagle-daschund crunches through them with a little work, but a very small dog might not be able to eat these).
Overall, a good treat! I think the best dog treat so far, however, is The Lazy Dog Cookie Co Inc Coconut Carob Chip Pup-squeaks, which are unfortunately out-of-stock right now on Amazon. The Fruitable treats are a close second.
Ingredients: Pumpkin, organic oatmeal, pearled barley, whole ground potatoes, oat fiber, apples, canola oil (with mixed tocopherols, a natural preservative), organic cane molasses, cinnamon, vanilla.
No digestion issues, vomiting, or other problems. Happy customer!
