I purchased 4 shirts, 1 each from 4 different vendors. I am right at 6 foot tall, measured my chest size (after ordering like the fool I am) and it measured 50", distance from my shoulder to my hip is 28". Vendors and size ordered were: vkwear 2X-Large, G-Style 4X-Large, TrueM 4XL, and Ks Island Big and Tall Big-2XL. This is the first time I've ordered any type of clothing online and of course leery on how things fit (that and being a cheap person and hate to buy clothing I thought I'd post these results).
The G-Style and TrueM shirts arrived within 48 hours on 23 July 2018, outstanding shipping (Prime)! The G-Style label (inside collar) stated the shirt manufacture was Maximos (and says USA) and it fit perfectly, a few threads needed to be trimmed but the color was excellent and it appears to be very well made. The TrueM seems to be either 1 or 2 sizes too large, the length is long as well as the shoulders. Amazon (via the company) process for returning the shirt seems simple and direct. If it had only been slightly too large I would have kept it but it is very large on me. The manufacture within the collar of this shirt was Omega (and says Italy).
Four days later the 3rd shirt has arrived (25 July 2018), this one being the Ks Island, no tag inside but the stamp says Ks Island (and China). The shirt feels slightly long, but the wife states it looks good and should be slightly long. Holding the two shirts up next to each other, the shirts (G-Style and Ks Island) look the same size, but switching back and forth between the G-Style and the Ks Island on the body, the cut is different. The Ks Island pulls across the back and wears longer down the front. Not bad mind you, but it is a slight difference in body feel. Also to note, the G-style has a double run of stripes going down the back where the Ks Island doesn't, the Island shirt has 3 buttons across the back shoulder and a button on the edge of each of the shoulders (that my wife liked). Also to note that both these shirts do not have actual button pockets, the buttons on the pockets do not button the pockets shut, they are for decoration only.
The last of the 4 shirts arrived on 26 July 2018. Not bad at all, I reside in the midwest and shipping was decent for all the items ordered. It turns out that the vkwear shirt also is selling the Maximos brand of shirt. Since I already knew a 4X-Large of that brand is what fit me, I couldn't help but wonder what a 2X-Large would be like, was the sizing that far off? A normal tee shirt (hanging around type tee shirt not a white under shirt) fits me in a XL size... I wear them daily. The 2X-Large went on like it was a medium size shirt (size M). So this shirt was a return also. Now here is the rub, the vkwear was the cheapest to purchase (but it had shipping costs). You (the buyer) also have to pay for return shipping costs and a possible "re-stocking fee". Which had me sitting there with my mouth wide open in astonishment!
With the exception of the size issue TrueM all the shirts appear to be well made. Be prepared to do some thread cutting with the G-Style (and vkwear), but it is a nice wearing shirt. And read the reviews others have placed for trying to get a feel for sizing. The Ks Island and the G-Style were basically the same size although one is listed as 4X-Large and one Big-2XL. TrueM's 4XL fit like it was a 6XL. vkwear, being the same brand as G-Style, is a wild card since if the shirt doesn't fit correctly its going to cost the purchaser extra funds due to the cost of a return. The higher price for the same brand from G-Style is peace of mind and worth it. Strangely not all the colors of the G-Style shirts qualify for free Prime shipping though. I did re-order 2 more shirt from that (G-Style) vendor but (as I am a cheap person) was limited on which colors to select so as not to pay the extra shipping charges. Hope this helps some people out.
