2.0 out of 5 starsGood if your dogs aren’t allergic to them

These are very well-made products that my dog was highly allergic to, as was I when I had been touching them. Not sure which element is the allergen but we both had such a strong reaction that I had to stop using them.
Really had high hopes for these. These were more expensive then what I usually pay I usually purchase a different brand. I just wanted to try these out as I had a coupon. These are smaller than expected but the correct size that was described on the website, just sometimes have to see it for your self. There black instead of the normal white which i liked but then realized after purchasing it makes it harder to tell if it has been used or not and white you can visible see you need to throw it away when it is used compared to black that is a down fall unless your one that does not change out the pee pad often and don't want to see when it is needed to be changed I guess then this would be for you. When used and your cleaning it up it falls apart like wet tissue paper so this is very difficult clean up which is def not ideal as I don't want to pick up tiny pieces of used tissue paper from the floor.
I'm in an apartment with a balcony so I have a grass pad set up with potty pads underneath for emergency use for my beagles. Currently my senior girl is going through an IVDD/ruptured disc episode so she's unable to walk fully/go outside like normal and has been using the grass pad.
Previously I used AKC brand which were ok but I didn't like how thin they were, figured I would try a new one. These are no better. They do hold more volume wise, they actually got rained on by accident the first time before Penny could even use them and they were FULL which I was originally happy about. But once she started pottying on them, I noticed when changing that they permeate urine through the backing onto the floor. Thankfully I have these outside but worth noting if you plan to use inside. It was not a one time thing and happens every single time. I wish I had not gotten the bulk size box...
So far I prefer the other brand because the leaking issue is worse than the volume issue.
I don't leaving negative reviews but these pads are not leak proof. When you pick up a pad that has been urinated on there is moisture/pee under the pad. Even if the pee did not leak over to the sides of the pad the pee was still underneath the pee pad. We put the pee pads on top of old towels and the towels smelled like pee. If the pee pad was placed on the tile floor there was obvious moisture on the tile under the pad and you could smell pee. The pads help some with odor control but you cannot let them sit for very long as the pee odor will begin to smell. So, if your pet pees on one in the middle of the night and you go check in the morning, we could smell pee.
A bit disappointing that they never arrived but the seller did apply a refund to my account, still waiting for it to post to my account (I must be patient for it takes 3 - 5 days). These pads seem to be the only ones that actually work for me, well my pups. They absorb well with no leak through and control the urine smell. They only don't work well when one of my pups pees on the edge, for then it seeps underneath the mat and creates a mess, but that's the pups fault and not the piddle pad. Only other complaint I have besides not getting them delivered is the cost. I use to get 100 pads for $18.99 and now they run much higher, but this isn't the fault of the seller.
For whatever reason, these pee pads are stinky with a nasty moldy smell. They smell WAT WORSE than my dog's pee!! My dog DOES NOT LIKE the smell. I have used these for several years now and they have NEVER SMELLED LIKE THIS!!! The smell gets on whatever it touches too -- you must wash hands after touching clean pads due to the stench!! I would say they are DEFECTIVE because of the nasty smell. They smell a little like mildew. Maybe they were stored in a damp place?? All I know is these things stink. Our dog is a tiny Shih Tzu that is pad trained. She refuses to poo on these pads so far. I think it's the smell. I know it's mold of some kind because I start sneezing and my eyes burn whenever I handle them. VERY DISAPPOINTED and the smell is the cause of the low rating
Cons: Simply Not working. Using these pads for training my puppy and the urine just sits on top and doesn't absorb at all. Double checked the sides (top vs bottom) and we are using them correctly according to directions. These do not absorb at all. The urine sits on top of the pad in a puddle like it's just on top of a garbage bag and doesn't absorb into it or "gel" up in the pad. When I pick it up, if I don't fold it up first, it drains off the edge into the floor anyways. I could put garbage bags on the floor in comparison to it's effectiveness. Pro: they are bigger than other brands I've tried so far.
I had purchased a different brand for my last puppy and had a bunch left so I put them out for the newest member. She was using them 100% of the time within 24 hours, I was ecstatic. When getting low I bought these Glad pads and it’s been like she’s never used a pad before to pee. She does poop on them but she pees wherever she is with these, no more mad dash for the pads. I’m having trouble locating my previous pad in the charcoal activated and I’m just hoping everyone is out of stock because they work so well. I thought about trying an attractant spray but can’t find one with decent reviews so it looks like I better wait to refinish my floors until next summer.
I decided to try these because I like Glad bags, so I figured these would be good. They are very thin and flimsy, not at all what I expected. Cheap quality. I know they are disposable, but I still expected better quality. Maybe the price should have been a clue.
I have been using the Martha Stewart training pads for years. They are thick and work pretty well, but they are not cheap. A pack of 100 small ones is $32.56 (as of 1/27/21). I've tried different brands, and found that these are the best, although, some of them do leak mysteriously in the middle of the pad. Not sure how that happens.
I ordered these to try them out as I'm staying with a family member who has server allergies to anything scented and the pads I had with me were lavender scented. Decided to give these a whirl. Literal trash. Dont waste your money. My puppy peed on one and it like tore in half I didnt know that was possible. Very thin and flimsy. Look elsewhere.
Our mini schnauzer puppy doesn’t go a ton each time but these pads failed to absorb even the little he goes. Every time I picked the pad up, there was moisture under it. It doesn’t absorb much and is really thin. The only thing these pads do is help with odor but even that is so-so. I really though these would be better than the Petco ones but these are terrible. I would never purchase these again. They are also really flimsy so when he walked over the pad it would shift and move around. I have cleaned the mess from these pads every single time, I may as well not use them and let my dog just go where ever he pleases. Save your money and home and buy a different brand.
