I’m amazed at the reviews I’ve read here.
The description did NOT read that it comes with a knife guard. Amazon products also display women modelling shirts. I have yet to receive a woman in an shirt when I open my Amazon Prime package. Learn to READ, humans - READ the words. They are there for reason. Often, they tell you things.
Less obvious perhaps, is the fact knives are made differently. Asian knives tend to be thinner, unless marketed otherwise to appeal to western consumers. East Asian culture on average consumes less meat, therefore their knives are created with a different (usually a more narrow) beveled edge for seafood and vegetables. Many American knives are made in the German style, wider beveled edge. Read the descriptions, select your knife accordingly.
Also, if your knife gets dull quickly- consider the above lesson- what are you cutting? How often? And, just ask important, WHAT surface are you cutting ON? Details matter. Wood, wood composite, and plastic are better on knives than countertops, glass, marble or whatever pan you are cooking in/on.

The handle style is comfortable and the perfect weight. Global knives are razor sharp and maintenance is easy. Wash and dry it immediately, store appropriately and you will never regret making the investment in a Global knife.
