So I have really wanted to like this for the price and slub cotton combo. Here are the issues that stop me from wearing this henley regularly: • Weight: It is just strange. Not heavy, but not light. • Neck: Total dealbreaker. Its about twice as wide as a normal neck so it doesn't look good paired with other shirts. It looks like it's about to fall off my shoulders and shows my back hair in the back neck area. • Feel: It's really firm. I've washed the one I own about three times and it doesn't seem to get any softer. This is not like your favorite t-shirt feel. Kind of cardboard-ish. • Fabric: I like the slub feel of this, but after a few washes the fabric gets really wavy. It starts to look like vertical washboard. • Price: At about half of what a premium henley costs, but twice what a cheapo slub shirt, you'd think this would be a good value. If all the above were fixed, then yes. But until then ... frowny face.
What I like about this shirt are the fit, style and color selections.
I was actually asked to give my opinion on these shirts, both long and short sleeve. They were nice when they were delivered but soon there after lost all shape and form. I use them to work in the yard now and if they are really out of shape, I tun them into grease rags for our heavy equipment. If I wore them to grease equipment, I think I could just take my shirt off and use it as a rag.
Oh, I had such high expectations when I took these out of the bag. But as soon as I put them on, I knew I couldn't keep them. On the outside they are soft, but on the inside, next to my skin, is very itchy. Returning.
Ordered this shirt and it looked good, until I washed it. I followed the directions and it lost about 3 inches of length after washing. Followed the care directions. Recently disappointed that it shrank that much.
This shirt shrunk a bit after the first wash, but now, after wearing/washing a handful of times, it is just impossible to get it to lay flat/not be wrinkly. It always looks "half-washed" like in that commercial, even after washing, drying, steaming, etc.
