Discover the power of natural magic and healing through herbs, flowers, and essential oils in this new guide to green witchcraft.
At her core, the green witch is a naturalist, an herbalist, a wise woman, and a healer. She embraces the power of nature; she draws energy from the Earth and the Universe; she relies on natural objects like stones and gems to commune with the land she lives off of; she uses plants, flowers, oils, and herbs for healing; she calls on nature for guidance; and she respects every living being no matter how small.
In The Green Witch, you will learn the way of the green witch, from how to use herbs, plants, and flowers to make potions and oils for everyday healing as well as how crystals, gems, stones, and even twigs can help you find balance within. You'll discover how to find harmony in Earth's great elements and connect your soul to every living creature. This guide also contains directions for herbal blends and potions, ritual suggestions, recipes for sacred foods, and information on how to listen to and commune with nature. Embrace the world of the green witch and discover what the power of nature has in store for you.

It is easy to read and packed with lots of wonderful information

It also assumes the belief of a deity of which to honor, which is more aligned with Wicca.
There are some bits of great information on herbal correspondences in here and ma be worth it for that if you need some ideas on the practical side to get you started.
Not for me, but I can see why it is loved by others

I have enjoyed reading it, however I was horrified to read the remedies for removing plant pests, I presume things like greenfly and caterpillars and the writer recommend spraying with bleach. There are many other ways to control pests that are completely natural and do not harm the environment, and further it seems very odd to use a harsh chemical when in fact the rest of the book is all about being in harmony with nature. It really did put me off the writer.

While parts of this were interesting and informative, I did feel a bit let down by it.
There are a tonne of ‘visualisation’ exercises in this book, especially in the fist half, which means I cant actually participate in a lot if what this book has to offer, as visualisation is, unfortunately impossible for me, sad as that is. Obviously this is a personal issue, but the book advertises itself as one of natural magic, not just endless visualisations.
This book also says a garden is not required, but goes on to mention many rituals and spells that are impossible without a garden, without adding any alternative. It does that with several other things, saying you should do/have something but then also saying you don’t need to do it. I understand irs about ‘creating your own path’ but it doesn’t provide any good alternatives, and it’s suggestions are either too vigorous or too vague. That sounds confusing or impossible, but that’s the way it seemed to me.
It also contained information about cleansing crystals without explaining that certain crystals can’t be exposed to sunlight or water. There were also other moments of misinformation which also frustrated me and meant I couldn’t enjoy this as much as I hoped.
The use of “the green witch” every few lines was also very jarring and ruined my reading experience, but the book would have been much shorter without those words every few sentences, and I can’t help but think some more information woukd have been a better use of words.
That being said, some of the information is useful, and the book was well laid out and easy to read. It’s a nice primer for further research as nothing goes in depth, but it’s a start. I’m looking forward to following some of the recipes, and there’s some information about plants cycles and lunar energy, making your own incense, a brief introduction to essential oils (though I would strongly advise doing a lot more research on that topic as it’s one with a minefield of misinformation), some nice blend suggestions, types of tree, plants and a general overview of being a green witch.
This book isn’t at all what I hoped it would be but some elements were nice, and it has a few hints and tips I will utilize and enjoy. I have 2 other books by this author which look like they will be more my cup of tea, which I am looking forward to.

I really felt that this book spoke to me and I think I have found my path with the help of this book

Para quem se interessa pelo apelo natural da magia e da bruxaria, é um livro maravilhoso! <3
