Bought for three baby piggies, good quality. Love that I can extend the cage for when they get bigger and the ramps are fab. Only issue is the price point. I would say it’s an investment but if you are looking for a cheaper alternative look on eBay/gumtree etc for c and c cages because it’s better for people who want to have bigger area for their cages for multiple piggies.
I have two of these , after my initial dismay thinking the product wasn’t sturdy enough I was soon proved wrong ( cats forever walking across the top) These cages mix n match bend and shape to your desired set up , love them and so do our pigs . I have them length ways , side by side etc so easy to swap and change . Very easy to clean and super lightweight .
This is the minimum size a cage should be for one guinea pig and I wish I had known - the pet shops do not tell you this - my two pigs went into a much smaller cage together and one of them lost an eye in a fight before I separated them into different cages. One is this one and one a larger one, now my pigs are really happy in their own territory and don't get stressed out and injured defending it.
The cage is a bit wobbly when you move it about but as it fits under my other cage which is on a stand it doesn't get knocked. I bought the top panel for it as well when we adopted two cats and it works very well - a bit more fiddly to access the pig and the cage for cleaning but workable and worth it for their safety and happiness.
The mat at the bottom of the cage has not been chewed by my pigs and seems pretty strong and waterproof. It was easy to put together. Very happy so far!
Not overly impressed with this cage. It’s pretty flimsy but is quite easy to assemble. The separator with the ramp was destroyed by my piggies within 2 days. It didn’t take them too long to move on to the canvas base, so there’s not much left of it. I bought in September and have had to replace with a larger cage in November. I’ll keep it as a temporary cage for when they go to grandmas for holidays. Certainly not worth the money when you factor in the import / postage fees which I notice are now applicable.
I had been looking at different cages to upgrade to and got recommended these by a lot of people. I brought two of them and I was super impressed. They are bigger than I expected but fantastic sizes for guinea pigs. The cages are very easy to assemble and sturdy. As I use blankets as bedding I clean their cage daily and cleaning it is super quick and easy. I have two very happy guinea pigs! I would recommend this cage to guinea pig owners!!
Excellent cage. I love that these can be expanded. I was originally looking into making a c&c cage but decided these would be better as they have a lid and I have cats. I have so far bought 2 of these and joined them together. My guinea pigs love them. Most pet shop cages are not big enough and new pet owners are not told this. Would highly recommend these cages if you are thinking about getting guinea pigs.
I was very surprised by how quickly the product was delivered and how easy it was to assemble. You do need a liner for it otherwise you will be wiping it down every day and I'm not sure how long the canvas base would last without a liner. I'm also a bit wary of how long the divider will last as one of our guinea pigs has already chewed quite a bit of the canvas across it and also removed one of the velcro straps. This might just be due to the nature of that particular guinea pig however as the other one hasn't chewed it at all! It has been very useful though as following the loss of one of our guinea pigs, this allows two guinea pigs who cannot live together to socialise with a divider and they both enjoy being in it. A very worthwhile purchase as it is also more cat proof than our previous pen as it has a roof. If needed, I would definitely purchase again.
My GP has been jumping about all the time since moving into his new home. He loves the space so much. I tried the divider at first but when i cleaned him out i took it out and he loves it more. Its so easy to put together. I would recommend using cable ties to tighten the cage as it felt unsturdy when putting it together. I have bought a second cage to extend as i want a companion for my GP. Iwould definitely recommend this.
