This book expands on the concept of making bread in just 5 minutes, but many of the recipes are just variations of each other. The gluten free section was very short and disappointing - the recipes need a lot of eggs. I wish I had just stuck to the basic recipe found on-line and just played with it to create my own variations.
I much prefer the hardcover format and regret purchasing the kindle edition. It is poorly layed out: recipes start anywhere on a page, the recipe titles are in small characters and hard to find, and the recipes are not listed in the table of content... It definitely needs improvement.
Because I have to severely restrict my sodium intake I found it impossible to obtain bead recipes where it could be excluded, until this one. It offers a bounty of truly healthy and great tasting bread. Every recipe can be frozen as dough (takes up less space in the freezer) rather than as cooked loaves which tend to dry out if kept too long. Just thaw the dough out and bake the loaves fresh as you need them. Does it get any better than that?
This book is one of my go-to bread books when I want to get something started and don't have time to peruse a lot of recipes. once you have made a few loaves, you can riff off the recipes because you will understand the general process. friendly and warm writing, makes you want to bake all day.
Col metodo di Five Minutes a Day, fare il pane diventa un gioco! Sia pane di grano che pane senza glutine o ai cereali. E avrete sempre pasta pronta in frigo per fare subito sia pane che pizza o altri tipi di pane. Per me l'unico e che, siccome l'impasto rimane in frigo fino a 15 giorni, prende un sapore forte che sembra il sapore del pane fatto con pasta made, ma che a me non piace tanto. Ma comunque lo consiglio senza esitazione a tutti, e sopra tutto a chi non ha molta esperienza nel fare il pane.
Recipes easy to follow, easy to adapt from one to the next. Lots of additional ideas, hints. Yes, recommending to friends. And - I have their other two '5 Minutes a Day' cookbooks - really interesting, and results delicious.
