Good value but recent change in manufacturing

I had been ordering these for awhile now, but my latest box is different. I am aware the Australian factory has now closed but I expected the product to be the same. These are not as fluffy, more flat, the leak barrier is different (no longer blue) and we've been having leaks now!
The month supply is great value but disappointed the product has changed.
Photos -both nappies are from Amazon. The ones on the right are the latest purchase November and no longer made in Australia. Different size and details.

New design - severe nappy rash :(

We’ve used Huggies on our little man for 18 months and loved them. This batch were the new ‘Mickey mouse’ design with a new layer in the nappy and resulted in painful nappy rash straight away. I know this hasn’t been an issue with everyone, but we can’t use huggies now and I’d be very careful if you haven’t used the new design before.

I was so uoset when i saw the mickmouse pattern on the nappies! Ive had to return all previous nappies from huggies that had this pattern on it due to ripping as soon as my son wet them. It must be something with that production line but now im stuck with all these nappies that are horrible

I’ve bought these a couple times now. Both times I’ve been happy with them. The “waste” stays where it’s supposed to be, unlike some other nappies I’ve used. A couple of them have had tabs pull completely off if you’re too rough but other than that they’re great. Lasts ages and you don’t have to worry about running out.

I do like Huggies nappies as they are on the thicker side and very absorbent. But with this comes the extra price tag... even though it might only be about $5, the cost certainly adds up depending on how many nappies you use. We tend to only buy these when they are on sale. Overall great nappies though and you can't go wrong... unless of course you don't put them on properly!

Such a Great price huggies are the only nappies that work for our kids, we’ve tried other brands but always come back to them. Amazon makes them fantastic value for money with really fast delivery. Subscribe and save is brilliant unfortunately we’ve had to (because of our own miscalculations) had to order before the next due date but it’s a great service. I love having a huge box delivered right to our doorstep within days of ordering.

I don’t know if these are the nappies caught up in the recent scandal but they definitely aren’t as good as the ones we used to get. When the nappy is wet the outside of the nappy is compromised. It becomes thinner and it’s obvious the nappy is wet & it dampens the clothes. This never used to happen with the Winnie the Pooh design. I won’t be buying these again.

We had Winnie the pooh style last time we ordered these which were great. However the quality that came this time is atrocious. My kid had the nappy on for an hour and a half for his nap time and woke up drenched in urine. It hasn't absorbed it at all even the feel between the two is a huge difference. We though maybe it's a one off, but nope put them on him for his night time sleep last night and again woke in the middle of the night covered in urine.

They claim to be absorbent up to 12 hours but that is a complete lie with this lot of nappies.
