This worked perfectly for me. I had previously used a Nyrius device to stream live from my Sony camera to a projector, but the new Sony cameras don't play nice with the Nyrius device that I usually use. I purchased this because it promised to support 1080p60. Well, it doesn't exactly, you still have to use 1080i. It works with 60i, 24p, and probably 30p as well, but I didn't try 30p. Most people won't know or care what that means and it wasn't an issue for me. I was able to stream live video across a crowded dance floor to a projector, no problem. There is about half a second of lag between the camera and projector. This is because this box recompresses the video as h.264. It's unfortunate (the Nyrius had almost no delay) but not a deal-breaker for me. The compression is also visible if you are viewing on a good screen. At home I could see that the picture looks a little "muddy" due to being recompressed, but on the projector screen at the event which was above people's heads, it looked great, so it depends on your usage. If you love pristine, clean images on your 60" QLED TV at home, get something else. If you have a projector or smaller screen, it should be fine. I attached a 5v battery power supply and strapped this to my camera, not as elegant or small as the Nyrius, but it worked well and has a large antenna. It's about the size of a small WiFi router, but lighter.
seems to work ok signal is clear, cannot get my remote to work for my Bell receiver from the house to my trailer located in my back yard, however I am using the HDMI unit inside travel trailer when we are camping so Bell receiver is close enough that remote will work. unit does get fairly warm so should be placed in a well vented area. I will see how the week of camping goes to honestly rate this unit but so far so good.
Been using for 2 months now no issues. Very convenient and distance as claimed. Will see if it last more than a couple of years. Picture and sound clear as if using HDMI cable. First 2 minutes will show signs of blocky pixels until the adapter and receiver syncs up. 4 stars only cause the rubber footing is extremely long and comes off if i store it in my projector bag. I'll probably go buy some smaller rubber stubs if these keep coming off.
Bought these to extend a satellite output to a tv in another room. HDMI signal transmits perfect in HD although I can't seem to get the IR blaster to work properly. They do get a little hot but they send the signal which is what I wanted.
No complaints! there is a bit of a lag in the voice, but I am using a Bluetooth speaker from my projector output so that could be where the lag is. The lag is not to significant and can only be noticed if you really look for it, so it's not a problem.
It works great but the range is a little limited. I have it working from the ground floor (monitor) to the basement floor (hdmi source) but it occasionally gets interrupted when we use the microwave oven. Otherwise I recommend this product.
