Oof, after huffing and puffing to strip 2/0 and 6 awg wires just with the wire cutter I was using to cut them, this thing is a godsend! It's very easy to dial in the blade length to be just short of cutting through the insulation, so you can then tug it off without risking a single nick on the stranded wires below. This just became my favourite wiring tool.
If I needed to cut wires lengthwise, I might find it annoying that cutting in any direction other than 90° forces you to hold the top part of the tool against a pretty strong spring. It would be nice to be able to dial in an angle and lock it in place. If you're just using it to strip wire ends that's not a concern, so not an issue for what I bought it for!
(PS, those are the 6 awg and 2/0 wires in the pictures and it works on either just as easily, and it has leeway to accommodate bigger wires too)
