Those are the worst shoes I ever had. The lace system is useless, it always loosen up and made my feet hurt from multiple place (I get it, you have the "break them" but those are not my 1st steel toe shoes and it is way worst than any other I had in the past). So I got ride of the plastic thing and it was already better. More support, feet hurting less. Then the lace broke after like a month. I replaced them and the other pair broke after an other 2 weeks, changed again then, one of the lace loop cut in half so I cannot lace them anymore.
My worst shoes before that lasted me a year. Those a bit more than 2 months. I'm not hard on my shoes, those are just terrible quality.
"100% Waterproof leather and mesh" I have to wonder what they mean by waterproof. They must mean the shoes them selves are impervious to water but not your feet. These will keep your feet dry in light rain and wet grass but heavy rain or if you happen to step in a puddle, absolutely not. Those mesh gaps you see on top, those do not stop any water at all. I did give them 2 stars for one reason, if you are going to have wet feet, this are good shoes to have wet feet in. They do not get heavy or sloshy and your feet do not slide around much. They do not warp when wet and dry quickly. So in that regard, being waterproof is good. In reality, when someone says their clothing product is waterproof, I expect the body behind it to stay dry though.
