Those are the worst shoes I ever had. The lace system is useless, it always loosen up and made my feet hurt from multiple place (I get it, you have the "break them" but those are not my 1st steel toe shoes and it is way worst than any other I had in the past). So I got ride of the plastic thing and it was already better. More support, feet hurting less. Then the lace broke after like a month. I replaced them and the other pair broke after an other 2 weeks, changed again then, one of the lace loop cut in half so I cannot lace them anymore.
My worst shoes before that lasted me a year. Those a bit more than 2 months. I'm not hard on my shoes, those are just terrible quality.
