I work in a manufacturing environment in Atlanta GA. I spend every day on concrete floors in the hot, humid weather. These shoes keep your feet cool and provide some cushion when standing on hard floors. They also hold up over time, compared to most steel toed shoes I've used in the past. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 would be that you'll need some gel inserts to provide additional shock absorption if you spend all of your time standing.
Super light, comfy to wear. Flat footed people rejoice, these boots are GREAT for the feet. Too wide in the toes for my tastes, but that is minor compared to the enjoyment of the boot. If you work outside in the heat, these are the boots for you. They also do not stay super tight, so if you want really snug shoes, these are not the ones.
I really love these Keens. I wear them on the weekends and after work for yard work or general construction. They are very light and very breathable. Steel toe is great. I am on my second pair now. The first lasted me three years. Time for a nice new pair!!!! I wear with a heavy sock so the 9.5 is perfect. I would not recommend these as a hiking shoe or walking for extended periods of time. But as a DIYer shoe its absolutely perfect!!!
I bought this shoe along with another brand - both in the same size 9.5D. The other brand (more expensive) felt like a clown shoe as a walked around. The Keen shoe was perfect. I wear it all day and it feels like a normal shoe.
Didn't fit my feet well. Not sure it's the shoes fault but still a bummer. Also, I didn't care for the lace system. Being ex-military I just prefer real laces I can adjust, but I knew what I was buying.
Overall though, made very well. Breathed pretty good. Just not for a traditionalist.
Very comfortable shoe. Although I did put a better insole in them. I normally wear a size nine but got these on a size 9 1/2 because I had a pair of Keen boots that were a half size small. The style of laces get loose on their own, otherwise I'd give them 5 stars. I'll probably replace them with regular laces sometime. I'd buy them again though because they're comfortable.
The first day I wore these, a guy dropped a heavy metal impact french door on my toes... didn't feel a thing! They've paid for themselves after that. They are heavier than I'm used to, and not as flexible as I'd like. But they have to be the best safety shoe out there!
