After 2 weeks they are getting very comfortable, at first I was not sure, the shoes hurt My feet, they definitely need a break in period. Working on concrete and steel floors for the past 15 years . I wanted to try something different from Skechers and doc martens etc... I'm only giving this 4 stars because it's more like 150-160 pair of shoes after you change out the laces and probably the insoles to, in my opinion the shoes are over priced.. .
I usually wear a men's 13 and these shoes are ever so slightly loose on my feet. I wish I could do a 12 1/2 perhaps but, then I worry it might be too little. The shoes are very supportive though. From day 1, with no extra additives in my shoes, I felt a change and my heels stopped hurting. Working 10hours in a warehouse these have become my friends. A shoe isn't going to perfectly fix all foot problems and more adjustments will make them perfect for my flat feet. You can't find a single magic fix for feet troubles. I agree with the other person that the shoe string design is silly. It doesn't quite stay tight and I feel like I can never get it tight enough. I ended up replacing them with my own strings and I like them better. The steele toe is pretty great and keeps my feet safe from pallet jacks n such. Only downside is it sets off the metal detector every time I go to lunch.
Very comfortable pair of shoes I had to return my first pair as the sice I normally wear ran to big with these shoes. I'm a 10.5 I had to reorder a size 10 and even still there's some room left I might fit in a 9.5 with these shoes. I work 8 hrs and they are very comfy I kept the size 10 as they offered enough space to let my feet breath but not enough to fall off. Easy to slip on and off still though. I recommend buying 2 pairs one smaller then your normal size and returning the ones that don't fit. These shoes are the same length as my size 10.5 running shoes so there's definitely something different in the actual space inside the shoe.
So far a good shoe. This is the second pair of Keen I purchased. They both seem to run a little large. I measure my foot to try and get a good fitting pair of shoes. It said my size was an 11. When I measured the shoe's insert it measured was around a size 13, even if you subtract a 1/4" for proper room, it was still about a size 12-12 1/2. Even with thick socks on it still felt a little large.
Fit perfect out of the box. Not very comfortable when you are on your feet 10hrs a day. Some gel inserts fixed that. Im not sure about the "cool" being black shoes, in the summer on blacktop and concrete they are just as hot as any other shoes. The quick lace idea is good, but they have to be tightened numerous times a day.
You know what they say about the size of a mans toe box. It's the hardest thing to shop for in a hard toe safety shoe. This is one of two shoes that have fit in that area with no discomfort. Would buy again - yes Would recommend - already have Why 4 instead of 5 - because they're still new to me. Lets see how they hold up.
Worn for more than 18 months. More breathable than normal boots. light in weight, and easy to put on and off. Draw string laces are nice but leave a lengthy cords and cord lock dangling - it bounces from side to side if you don't secure it. Overall nice boots with a variety of uses, not bad for hiking too. The best thing steel toes do is protect from a stub toe. If you drop something higher up than the beginning of your toe with these, it still may result in injury. I will buy again a half size down if possible. Great boot.
I bought these shoes for work. They were very comfortable but after 8 hours of walking and standing on concrete my feet were hurting. I mostly returned them due to the size - they were a little too loose on my feet and it probably would have been better to order a size down. Overall the quality was great but the shoes would probably work best with an insole if you are flat footed like me.
These are by far my favorite steel toed shoes. They are light weight, comfortable, and my feet stay nice and cool. I would have given them 5 stars, but after about 3 months the laces started to come apart. At month #4 they are almost totally shot. Not a huge deal to replace, but I have not had that issue with other shoes.
I bought them in May, so it's been 6 months or more. First, it took me a bit to get use to the laces, and the nub on the end....IT DROVE ME BANANAS at first, but i learned to tuck it and wrap it all up in the other laces.....not pretty, but i'm not tryin to bring sexy back. Then when i put my personal insoles in,EVERYTIME i walked, the heels popped out, and leaves irritations on my acheles.....not very fun. So, i wore the shoes, being new, without my insoles.....for as long as i could. They were comfortable and PERFECT for a flat footed man like meself(regular size was actually perfect fit). The steal toe, no problems, other than getting use to the extra weight in the front of my foot, but this was to be expected. I do construction, so i'd say BAD CHOICE for that, because the mesh/breathable area is a hazard. Also feet get wet in rainy conditions. Not a smart outdoor HARD WORKING shoe. But, it holding up as best as it can. I'll make a better choice next time, not the companies fault for me not thinking of the obvious at the time, hahaha
