From the manufacturer
Easy to adjust button operation
Pliers act as that extra support to your hands when you need that additional strength. And tackling such a tool should be easy and not an additional job. The Cobra Plier, unlike Conventional Pliers, comes with a button to help you adjust the tool as per your requirement with just a click. The button helps is fast adjustment of the jaw of the Plier that saves your time and energy.
Stays firm on the object
It is very essential for a Plier to stay firm and hold onto the object without slipping to get the job done faster. However, more often than not the pliers tend to slip off causing delay. Knipex has solved this issue by introducing Self-locking technology on its Cobra Pliers. Now it’s easy to grip the object without slipping and less hand force. And their thin head design helps you get into spaces other pliers can't, so there's no need to change tools when working in tight confines.
Cobra water pump pliers are constructed from chrome vanadium electric steel, an innovative high alloy, oil tempered steel that ensures longevity. The Cobra Plier has specially designed hardened teeth in the jaw with a capacity up to 1-1/2-inch for round and 1-27/64-inch for hex, offering a stable grip. These features ensure that the tool can withstand a heavy load and prevents the wear and tear of the Plier.

I'm glad I chose the Knipex and paid out for quality. Whilst they are not the cheapest set of pliers, their craftsmanship is superb. They are a breeze to use, machined well and I expect them to last a lifetime if cared for properly.
The button adjustment is very effective in locking the pliers, yet is easy to use and adjust as necessary.
The multi angle jaws provide good grip on a multitude of surfaces and the handles are just right for me. The coating is a thin and very slightly spongy material, than feels comfortable in bare hands and not too big when wearing gloves. I prefer slim handles like this, rather than excessively padded ones as it is easier to get access into tight spaces and it feels easier to transfer turning force.
Would definitely buy Knipex again if/when I need another size.
All in all a top draw set of grips . Cant find any real fault apart from a little fiddly adjusting the jaw to the desired opening.
Well worth the money as I got them reduced .
every markings on the wrench were different from any other knipex cobras which further added to my scepticism that I got a fake cobra.. a quick check on Knipex on website then dispelled half of my concern as it seems the 150 variant is a bit of an odd ball with its markings. I bought mine directly from Amazon but It doesnt even say that its made in germany!!!
Very dissapointed with my purchase
