I haven't looked at a Lego set since childhood. Who Knew there were so many themes and how much fun it is.
Ended up getting hooked on Lego Masters, my partner loved Harry Potter so got the train set for them as a Christmas gift and they were made up and went onto by the hall etc.

So I thought I wanted in on the action - saw the VW camper - we had one when I was a tot and used it to travel from Italy (not that I can remember) but they are classic so thought I'd get this.

Well unlike the Potter lego these aren't numbered bags so yes you have to sort them yourselves but that was half the fun. I spent a glorious few days in the garden over easter in the sun building this.

did it in a 2-3 sessions about 3-4 hours (including sorting time) It would be handy to have a couple of clear plastic boxes to help with the sorting and to be able to close up and not have the dogs run off with bits when your back is turned or when you drop a brick.

I don't remember having this much fun when I got a lego set in the 80's.

The books are excellent. The detail is staggering, little curtains, glasses, flowers for inside the camper, reclining seats, moving gear stick, even the table lifts up.

I now want the London Bus! This could be an expensive hobby.

Bought for Christmas for my son and it arrived with a rip down the centre of the box. When you spend this amount of money on something you expect it to come nicely packaged! Not impressed.
