3.0 out of 5 starsScent is a bit overwhelming, but it does a good job of hydrating the skin

I personally felt like the scent was a little bit overwhelming. It definitely has a highly floral fragrance which was a bit stronger than what I usually apply to my face. The Cream itself was very rich, but it didn't clog my pores at all. A little definitely goes a long way. I probably preferred it a bit more when it was rubbed on my neck than on my face.
I usually have very dry skin in the winter months, and this did a good job of hydrating it without making my skin feel greasy. If not for the strong scent, I would probably have given this cream 4-5 stars.
The cream feels great. It really is hydrating and doesn't feel greasy. The only problem is the scent is way too strong. It smells like baby powder or something. It's overwhelming, especially for something used on the face. I don't know why it needed any scent at all. It's a bit too much for my taste.
Unfortunately this is yet another strongly-scented (think baby powder) L'Occitane lotion. Every so often I get one because I hear such good things about them. And they lotions themselves are really great. But I'm certainly not going to slather them on when the smell is so strong (and frankly unpleasant). I suppose there would be an uproar if they decided to change their "signature" scent - which I assume this must be, since it's been the same for all the products I've tried thus far. I wish they'd make an unscented version - I know shea butter tends to have an earthy scent that many people don't like, but this lotion is only 25% shea.
If you don't mind the smell, definitely give this a try. But steer clear if you're sensitive to strong perfume-y scents.
