To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I have tried many rosins over the years, including several variations of Liebenzeller, Andrea Solo, Salchow, Pirastro Schwartz, and Evah Pirazzi Gold. I finally asked my teacher what he uses and he showed me his Jade L'Opera. I tried it and can confidently attest that it is the most perfect rosin I've ever tried. It does not cake up on my instrument and delivers the perfect amount of grip with zero surface noise! I will always keep this rosin in my case!
5.0 out of 5 starsMUCH better than the cheap rosin that I bought with my violin

When I bought my violin, I was sold a cheap-o rosin that was supposedly just as good as any other. It really wasn't, and I had problems getting it to stay on my bow. Then I bought this Jade Rosin, after a lot of sifting through brands - and it was worth it. I noticed a distinctive difference.
Please note I am an adult beginner for violin, so I can't testify as an experienced player...but as a new player, it definitely helps to have good rosin....

I have used Jade rosin for about 8 years and compared to almost any other brand there just isn’t anything quite like it. Beautiful rich tone, smooth, limited dust with just the right amount of stickiness to sustain even the quietest notes.
For $11 you can’t possibly beat the investment, it’s in a whole league of its own compared to basic light rosins (or even the really good light rosins if you ask me).
It’s also good for any temperature conditions, you will get the same texture no matter what time of year you use it.
I like this rosin for either dry or moist climate conditions. It's easy to start using a new Jade, as I find that I don't need to scratch it at first as some require. It even makes MY bowing sound decent!
