I've had this lick bowl for one day. I put some peanut butter in it and my dog loved it and kept her occupied. I left her unattended with it for a while and when I returned she had already destroyed it.
This bowl is meant to be made of durable rubber that my dog could not break. My dog is a medium sized dog, and she doesn't have a particularly strong bite, still she managed to rip it into small pieces that she ingested as well!
This seems like pretty dangerous item to give to a dog, as they can easily rip it in pieces that they then eat.
I'm very disappointed since I had the impression I was buying a durable item that would last a long time!
Bought this for my dog, as he chewed the previous one! The lick mat is a great way of mentally stimulating your dog, keeping them busy and tiring them out in a different way. This mat works similar to the KONG and dogs get the same result. I use peanuts butter, coconut oil, dog treats and banana. My dog absolutely loves this and it keeps him occupied for at least 25minutes, giving me 5 mins of peace haha!
This is ok for appetizers such as peanut butter or something similar. Better to really work it into the bowl and then even freeze for a bit to make it more work for the dog. It's not the easiest thing to clean if they dont clean it fully themselves!
Easy to clean by hand and has stood up to the abuse administered by my terrier. It takes both dogs (a Labrador and a Jack Russell) about half an hour to get every last scrap of whatever I put in there. So much better than the mats if your dog picks it up and carries it around.
I was worried that it would be too big for the terrier, who is small for the breed, but it's perfect for them both. Wish I'd discovered these before now!
