+ The sleep tracker is inaccurate and only tracks sleep once a day. For instance if you wake up at 7AM and fall back asleep until 9AM, the device will only capture your sleep until 7AM.
+ I gave it a full charge yesterday and it's already at half battery life (see photo)
+ The "wrist sense" feature doesn't work, period. (see video)
+ They claim you can change "sports mode" to 14 different types of exercise (but your tracker can only hold 3 at a time) by selecting the activity from the app. This is a quote taken directly from an answer to one of the product questions here "You can set up other modes on the app, step: go to VeryFitPro App->Device->More->Activity display->tap it, choose one sport. " As you can see from my screenshots, there is no "activity display" option. I tried using the tracker for a 40-minute work out on a stationary bike, the app told me that in those 40 minutes I took 300 steps and burned a few calories.
+ I have reached out to customer service to see if maybe I'm missing something and they just keep sending me the same "VeryFitPro App->Device->More->Activity display->tap it, choose one sport." directions.
+ The alarm feature works really well and is a nice gentle way to wake up. Would I pay $30.00 for an alarm clock on my wrist? No, I would not.
The app, was a joke. The band is not comfortable and its features were lacking. The way you have to charge this thing is an absolute nightmare. The band never wanted to come off and i felt like i would break the cheap plastic charging connection every time i had to charge it. I got through 2 workouts with this thing and realized very fast this was a bad product for me. In use it had little appeal to me and was useless for my needs.
However there is a customer out there for this product even with its many faults. If you have a young kid that wanted a smartwatch i could see this being a novelty gift for them that would make them feel "cool" wearing this. something that's a bit rugged and cheap. I could also see this for none tech people that do a lot of mall walking, get your bpm's quickly and somewhat accurately, while getting a rough idea on steps. This would be a good product for these people. If you are actually trying to track physical fitness i would look at something more reputable and yes, more expensive. i would not recommend this product to someone doing any time of harder training, keep it recommended to kids and active walkers.
-Design - to charge it, all you have to do is slide off the wrist strap and plug it into a USB port, so you don't have to use a separate charger. And the wrist straps fit pretty decently
-Battery - lasts a good long while on a single charge
-Watch face - it's way too dim in direct sunlight and it's nearly impossible to see
-Usability - to start a workout, you have to cycle all the way through the watch's options. To end a workout, you have to cycle all the way through the workout menu's options, too. Even with the reactive watch face on, you still have pretty much slap the thing to wake it up.
-Fitness tracking - tracking your fitness in the moment on this watch is impossible because you have to cycle through all of workout menu options, and the distance tracking is hilariously inaccurate.
-App - the app this watch uses doesn't show you your logged workouts at all.
Bottom line: If your FitBit or Apple Watch breaks and you're needing something temporary to tide you over until you get a replacement, this might be the tracker for you. It's super cheap, although you get what you pay for.
This is just a good step counter.
I know that the price seems very appealing, but I would recommend spending just a little more and getting something that can actually function properly. You'll get tired of fixing this thing very quickly.
Bought this in Jan. and it's Aug. and the band has already broken in two. Sent an email to the company to ask for a replacement but never heard back from them. Like it, does what it's supposed to do, but the quality and customer service is poor.
All the other budget priced devices look the same, so I'm guessing the guts are the same which means I could have the same problem with connectivity. I've looked at Fitbit, but the common complaint about them is the battery life. Don't know what to do.....
