This is obnoxiously cute. I have PTSD, and like to have a quick-access dim nightlight for when my dog wakes me that also won't disturb my partner. This works very well, and I can keep it on while I chill out without being too disruptive, and then easily turn it off quietly. I like that it's wireless so I can carry it with me if I need to leave the dark bedroom without turning on lights.
That said, the "tap on the head" does need to be a bit rough, and while I understand why the charger port is on the base, it's not super convenient.
I bought this on a whim when I was looking for a night light for my bathroom. I use it for the downstairs at night and keep it on something colored so that the light doesn't totally ruin my night vision if I have to go downstairs. I've noticed that after several months of usage most nights that the battery has started to last less with most colors. I think only red, white and maybe yellow will last throughout the night anymore, but it's still worth the price in my opinion.
My 6 year old son still likes to have a night light on, and he had previously had one that was just a dome shape which eventually died. We got this one to replace it, and he loves it. I like that is is rechargeable, and he likes the shape and the colors. He usually keeps it on all night long, cycling through the different colors. The battery typically lasts 2 or three nights. But that is not a big deal, because it recharges with a standard Micro USB cable within a couple of hours.
I've been pretty disappointed with this light. Although it is pretty fun looking and is nice and bright, it is very sensitive and not convenient to charge. The light is so sensitive that if I even brush against the side table I have it on, it lights up and I have to hit it three times to get it to turn off. I might be crazy, but it seems to also turn on when there are loud noises like sneezing or clapping. The charger port is not only crappy (charger will fall out easily if you try to move the light after plugging in) but is on the bottom so I can't stand up the light while it's charging. That said, the cuteness and brightness of this light give it 3 stars from me, but the sensitivity and inconvenience of charging take away two stars. I recommend this if you plan to keep it somewhere it won't get touched very often.
Even when fully charged it won't stay on all night. Yes it is super cute but waking up to a dark room can be frightening for children. It did turn back on again when tapped, but then went out again when we were asleep. Also concerned about the claim that it exploded in someone's home while plugged in. Returned it!
My almost 3yr old is now scared of the dark. This little light stay on ALL night - 10+ hours. We do not use the color mode, only the white. Battery life lasts longer that way. It’s flexible material, easy to plug in, it’s cute. Our son names it Snowball!
It is the perfect little night light to help your child feel secure while going to sleep and waking up in the middle of the night after a bad dream.
This little dude lights up my whole 13*10ft room in pitch black with no other lights. Enough that I could read etc. didn’t expect him to be that bright but I can’t complain, he was super convenient to just smoosh on when I woke up in the middle of the night. I kinda wish he just had a regular power chord so I could set him up to turn on and off with my google home but I’m not mad. He’s a little ball of glowing light and purity.
Bought for 2 year old & 4 year old. They love them. 2 year old snuggles up with it and passes out. 4 year old likes to try to stay awake and play with it tho, but he hates sleep so that's a norm for him. They do not get too warm at all. Only thing that is a lil irritating is the bottom of the cat, where the light is can come loose, and you have to pop it back on. Not a deal breaker, just irritating when small kids are rough housing them. Been over a week, neither of the two we bought have broken the cats yet... which is amazing. Stays charged for multiple nights in a row. .. even forgot to turn them off one night and they were still going the next day. Would buy again so far.
Bought this as a gift for my fiancee when she expressed to me that she had trouble sleeping in fully darkened rooms. It was much bigger than I expected, and the silicone texture is nice, though it does like to "dent" when you grab it by the silicon and not the bottom, my biggest complaint is it has no timer. You CAN set it up to stay a single color other than white, it is described above in the listing, "While it is in 7 color breathing mode, tap it gently, and it will stay a single color" My fiancee just tested this and it worked. Overall, great product, I foresee a few more once children enter the picture!
I bought two of these and have the same issues with both.
Pros: - Bright - Decent quality
Cons: - Battery life rarely lasts more than one night. - USB cord won't stay plugged in and constantly pops out. - Charging port is under the light so you can't leave it plugged in without needing to lay the light on its side. - Tap feature to switch between white, colors, and off is very finicky and just bumping the table it sits on will cause it to turn off.
