I've tried a lot of shampoo's over the past year ever since hard water started ruining my hair. I've since gotten a water softener but the damage to my hair is done. My hair has become thinner and is always dry.
This is probably the best shampoo I've used for my hair though not by much. Before this the best shampoo I've used was Costco's own Kirkland brand shampoo. This however is somewhat better than that.
After washing my hair it usually stays good for about three days before I have to wash it again, this shampoo doesn't increase the number of days I don't need to wash my hair, it does however make my hair a lot less dry for those three days compared to other shampoos I've tried.
The reason I did not give it five stars is because this shampoo is a little abrasive. Do NOT rinse and repeat with this shampoo as it will strip all of the natural oils out of your hair completely. I usually use a softer children's tangle free shampoo to quickly lather my hair and rinse it out then I use this shampoo and conditioner combo. That way it lathers properly the first time instead of having to apply it twice to get it to foam like most shampoo's.
So far it's at the top of my list, I probably will try a few more shampoo's before I decide on which shampoo is the winner for my hair but so far it is this one.
Start using the co-washing (conditioner washing) method when your wash your hair. Use the shampoo+conditioner shampoo and then every alternative wash use only the conditioner. Since this shampoo is very abrasive it helps not to use it every time you wash your hair, using it every other time helps to keep some of your natural hair oils. For some it might even help to use the shampoo only on the scalp and not the ends of your hair, instead using conditioner only on the strands of your hair.
