I am using this with Shure 535 phones, sound quality is not as good as with the cable but I am very happy with the quality that I get and the volume is good too, something that I have not found in any other bluetooth product that I have tried.
If there is a negative it is that the buttons on the remote are not easy feel and distinguish from each other but it works.
Overall I am very happy with this product!
The low latency feature seems fine, but I have barely been able to enjoy that feature based on thoese other two problems.
Just wish I was quick enough to return it
Top international reviews
Sound is good and enjoyable but could be better.
It is generally warm, and good for dance. Some audiophile detail and rhythm is lost, and bass is slightly monotone and lacks variety. This does however make poorer quality mp3 tracks more listenable.
First pair broke with one ear flickering on/off and replaced by Amazon so build quality could be better. Other build issues are that the buttons are hard to press with not much give to it, and It would be nice if the wire moulded around the ear too.
Battery is very good, lasts what they say, however when it warns you that it is low it only gives you 3/4 of a track warning, and drops off quick. However the battery level is shown on the iPhone in the info. bar where your network provider is shown which is useful.
Use of the microphone for calls is poor. As it rests behind your ears so people struggle to hear me, it’s use is limited, unless you unplug one ear and put the microphone closer to your mouth.
Connecting it to the Shure’s and my iPhone was easy.
Overall they are good but could be better, but probably won’t buy again, with a pair of Cambridge Audio wireless inner headphones on my list.
First the good bits..... It's light and comfortable, pairing was easy and it connects quickly when turning on, those are the only good things about it.
Now the bad.
This thing is forever dropping signal it absolutely ruins the listening experience. Sat at my desk next to my router pumping out 5Ghz and 2.5Ghz wifi signals it's perfectly fine. Out and about it cuts out constantly.
Even when the signal isn't cutting out, there is a constant background hiss.
I tried switching from aptx HD to AAC and apart from a noticeable drop in quality the saving in bandwidth had no discernible effect on the drop outs
Save your money and avoid!
I was reluctant at first as there are quite a few aftermarket companies selling these wireless adapters.
After looking into the company, their other products and customer reviews I decided to give it a go.
Honestly, this adapter has given my Shure 315s a new lease of life.
MEE use APTX and what appears to be their own audio enhancement codec with three options Vocal Boost, Natural and Bass Boost.
The Bass boost option literally makes the 315 sound like a different pair of headphones, the subwoofer-like bass is astounding, compared to the somewhat flat and clinical sound using the standard 315 cable.
Not to say I didn't like the 315 sound before, but with the MEE Audio adapter the sound is probably the best I've heard using an in-ear headphone. In fact I prefer using the 315 than my Bowes & Wilkes.
My only qualms are that the microphone is reasonable but not great, compared to a standard Bluetooth microphone. Also the battery life is marketed and 9 hours, but in reality it's probably 4 hours, 5 at a push.
Also a little annoying is that the 'battery low' notification only announces when there is about 5 minutes of battery play time remaining.
Despite those qualms, I would definitely buy this product again, and recommend to a friend as they've really done a great job compared to the standard Shure cables and Shure wireless adapter for a fair price.
A bit of a disappointment from such a good first impression.
I'm no fan of bluetooth headphones or earbuds, but as we're being pushed down that route (at least for use with our mobile phones) I wanted to find a more affordable option than shure's own cable https://www.amazon.co.uk/Shure-RMCE-BT2-High-Resolution-Bluetooth-communication/dp/B07HYMWSGY/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=shure+bluetooth+cable+bt2&qid=1562661928&s=electronics&sr=1-1-catcorr (£139 at the time of writing).
I'd been putting this purchase off as long as possible but after my daughter dropped her phone in the sea on a recent school trip, I upgraded my phone (losing a headphone port in the process). I'd had my eyes on the BTX1 for a while but they looked somewhat dated, and had mixed reviews. When I saw that the BTX2's were available and looked at the impressive specs I thought they would be worth a go.
My first impression was somewhat marred by the fact that the first cable I ordered came with M6 connections rather than the MMCX connections required for my Shure 535's (Something that Amazon said was an issue on their side) . I sent these straight back and ordered a 2nd set, they arrived the next day (this time with the advertised connections).
Like every other bluetooth headset/earphone/earbud/headphones that i've tried (and the main reason for my dislike) there is a faint hiss when powered up but not playing anything and a few seconds after a track has been paused, it's nothing as bad as a cassette tape playing the gap between songs, and, for me at least, it's inaudible when the music's playing, but it is there.
As for sound quality itself, I'm not sure you'll ever get the quality that you get from a wired connection, but its certainly passable.
Lipsync is another minor annoyance, again, not sure you're ever going to get it spot on without a wired connection, thankfully my tablet still has a headphone port so I'll just use a wired connection for films or tv programmes on my commute.
Those minor annoyances aside, first usage impressions are generally good, the cable sits nicely around my ears and neck, the controls and batteries on either side are unobtrusive and don't seem to effect how the IEM's sit in my ears.
All in all, this seems like a good wire that allows me to continue to use my shure IEM's without having to pay a premium for shure's cable.
I actually think the sound much clearer and louder than the shure BT2’s that are nearly 3 times the price ......the only thing is the don’t have the battery isn’t as long as the original shure...... personally I prefer these ones 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Not much more to add from all the other positive reviews. I have big fingers, and have no issue with blindly using the control's. the cable is a good and snug fit round the back of my head.
One other big positive for me, is that the part of the leads that go round the top of your ear are a "springy" preformed plastic arc, so fits much more snugly round the top of your ear, and doesnt uncurl or require continuous adjustment over time like the Shure mouldable leads
5 stars from me :)
Can handle full volume with no distortion, something I never experienced with these IEMs
