Solid Mahagony Soundboard
As we know, the artist always prefers to play solid wood ukulele or guitar, that is because solid wood ukulele has the best tone, and will keep improving with the time aging.
Solid wood ukulele will sustain much longer than a laminated one and has a more rich tone in both bass and treble, distinguished with the dull and dry sound of the laminated ukulele.
If you are a beginner and have the limit budget, but want to find a ukulele that can accompany you throughout beginner to professional, then this is the one you are looking for. you don't have to spend more on another more expensive uke.
Beginner arms always get hurt by the ukulele which has a right-angle edge, but not this ukulele, to make the player's arms feel comfortable, we rounded the edge of the ukulele, make it smoothy to protect your arms.
Beginner always feels terrible if his new ukulele cannot stay in tune.
But it's quite normal for a new nylon-stringed instrument to get out of tune, because the nylon string needs time to settle down, and no company can solve this problem.
But to make it more friendly to a beginner and you can start to play it out of the box, we use Aquila string from Italy and an 18:1 geared tuner, to lock the string in position, you can tune it more precisely and finner. and we pre-tuned every of our ukulele before ship out, to short the time of string settle down.

The uke feels almost weightless so it’s perfect for carrying around! Plays well and is pretty loud for its size! All in all it’s a very good purchase!

Nevertheless, as I liked the instrument, I then ordered a replacement but this time with no electric pick-up (AKC23). This arrived promptly with all of the advertised accessories and is perfect for my needs. The instrument came well protected in an Aklot cardboard box which itself was contained within a larger plain box with additional paper protection.
The instrument looks lovely and is of a solid wood mahogany build. It feels perfect with a smooth neck and nicely finished frets with no sharp edges. It was a delight to play straight from the box. The strings have only needed slight tuning adjustments to settle in by day three. The intonation going down the neck is as near perfect as one could wish for. The gig bad is adequate (better than many) as it has some padding and sufficient for taking to the folk club. Although the neck strap is well made; as the instrument has fitted strap buttons I would have preferred a shoulder strap.
I recommend this instrument to anyone thinking of taking up playing the ukulele.
I was seeking a budget uke, one that would provide a respectable sound, look good and feel good. After much research, I came across this Aklot ukelele and was very taken by its appearance, and impressed by the many favourable reviews it has received on Amazon and other sites. I also viewed assessments of this instrument on YouTube as given by accomplished musicians - the following Aklot reviews are certainly worth checking out:
Make It In Music (where an American musician compares the Aklot to a $1300 ukulele!)
I was hesitant about purchasing an instrument like this through the post because of the potential damage in transit. I needn't have worried though because this came nicely protected and packaged. The ukulele itself was wrapped in a spongy gauze material, then placed in its carrying case which, in turn, was surrounded by scrunched up parcel paper and then nestled in a sturdy Aklot cardboard box - this box had then been placed in a further Amazon cardboard box!
This instrument really is a joy to behold and has already provided me with many hours of enjoyment. It produces a lovely sound, and because it's made of solid mahogany, I'm told that this sound should improve even further as the wood matures. I've actually amazed myself by learning to play a few simple songs within a fortnight of it arriving on my doorstep! By the way, Aklot customers have access to some beginners tips and a handful of free lessons on their website. However, for a more thorough (and FREE) 30 day course, I can recommend a YouTube site (where would we be without them?) - look for 'Bernadette Teaches Music' - she's an inspiration, and makes you feel like you're getting your very own 24/7 private music teacher.
If you are looking for a ukulele for yourself, or to give as a present, then you should seriously consider purchasing one of these Aklot's. Highly recommended.
The little tuner is very handy to have, as are the spare strings. I don't understand why the set comes with a neck strap when the uke has buttons for a shoulder strap, but the strap itself is wellmade! The gigbag is basic, but functional. I wish I had already seen this two years ago when I wasted lots of money on a really bad uke which I can now only put into the bin!
It was a fantastic choice.
Arrived quick and in perfect condition. Easy and fast to tune and once its tuned and you've played a while the strings really set-in nicely, i check every couple of days and not needed any tuning for about 3 weeks now. You get a great sound out of it and it really is a joy to play.
The book you get is perfect to get you going even for an absolute beginner.
I was puzzled by the thick, felt pick at first, having never seen one before, but they really are great to use when you get used to them... mines starting to get worn already!
Once you get the basic chords done, greet to a guitar chord site and search for ukulele chords for your favourite songs, you'll be amazed at how many you can play by learning about 6 chords. It never occurred to me that a uke would need a capo so that's next to open up more songs.
Fantastic product and if you are looking to learn, look no further than this.
If you're a bloke, the smallest you should get is the 23" really as the frets are small fir getting two fingers in and you'll struggle with smaller, however for me the 26" seemed too big and took away its novelty value.
I have been playing guitar about 16 years by the way so found this way easier than most will - just don't give up, you wont regret this purchase!
