My autistic 7 year old LOVES these Melissa & Doug stuffed "cuddle" animals! I mention that he is autistic purposefully because he has NEVER attached to a stuffed animal in his whole life. So when I saw the way he attached to the cuddle monkey and loves it so much it made my heart completely melt and I got him the cow and this horse which he also adores! I've been waiting for years to see him show attachment and affection to a stuffed animal. He carries these guys around everywhere! I think what he likes best about them is the size and the design. They're designed to be big and cuddly, but not overly thick and full in the body, so he can actually lay on them and with them in bed (see pics). He loves to lay on it with his arms and head on the head while watching his iPad. I love that they're light weight and they really are SO cute! I think it's clever that they come with a name tag you can fill out and ownership certificate though that didn't interest my son. Also, the name tag is cardboard and isn't gonna last very long if your kid is anything like mine. We just cut it off right away as it detracts from the cuddly-ness. We have come to rely on Melissa and Doug toys for quality and good design and these plush toys are definitely no exception! I can definitely recommend them for young kids!
