For the price it's a bit absurd only 1400mAh li-on
controller + attached headphone drains faster than without headphone so if you use headphones you're better off with a bunch of 2500 mAh eneloop pro's & cycle them.
Advantage for the pack is it needs no battery swap, can be charged via the console or a USB-A 5v phone charger, lower weight., normal micro usb phone charging cables can charge this battery.
Disadvantage: cables while charging can tangle with headphones, less play time than high capacity Ni-MH

Compared to swapping batteries, this is a much better experience, obviously, but one may question why did it come to this in the first place. This is more a reflection on the controller itself, but it you add this to the price of a controller, this is 60% more than what an DualShock4 costs, which comes with a rechargeable battery built in. But like I said, this is more criticism of the Xbox One controller rather than this battery pack, but the added cost, and its quantum is a sore point indeed.
On the brighter side though, if anything were to happen to the battery, you can just swap it out for trust ol' AA cells or another battery pack -- in the DS4 you'd have to replace the whole controller, so hey, that's something.
