Highly recommend this device to runners looking for an iPod shuffle alternative. It is also good for walkers (listening to music or podcasts).
Powerbeats Pro steps (I had issues with connecting it unless I follow these steps every time)
1. Turn the device on (wait for a minute until the green light flashes)
2. Open your Powerbeats Pro case
3. Take the headphones out
4. Put them on and wait for it to connect
5. On the Mighty, press the play button
So glad a stumbled across this device!!
This just syncs your music and playlists from your Spotify account. Much easier to re arrange your tracks. I can even download pre arranged running playlists from Spotify. Now I don’t have to listen to the same music for weeks on end. Magic. I never wanted to carry my phone on runs but I wanted access to Spotify. Now I have that without having to carry my phone.
As a self professed Luddite this is the one for me. I don’t have to get my 14 year old daughter to help me with it.
Oh, and the battery life is really good, several hours at least.
No regrets at all and glad I bought it.

No matter where I tried fixing it, it fell off when I ran! In the end I had to put it in my pocket, which meant that I couldn’t reach the controls easily. So stupid.
Customer service was also useless. When emailed explaining the issue and asking if it was just MY Mighty that has a faulty clip, they came back and told be that no, the clip was *purposefully* weak & couldn’t be made stronger because (and I quote) “..that would break the clip”! And.. “if it doesn’t work then use a lanyard.”
I just spent almost £100 ona product that doesn’t work properly and they were telling me to use a lanyard!? That’s admittting defeat and offering nothing!
if a clip that is specifically designed to function *as a clip* in sporting environments doesn’t actually *work*... this just boils down to the clip being badly designed.
I mean.. what’s it’s purpose otherwise? It only has one job!!
I never once had this issue with the iPod shuffle... I’m surpursed they haven’t adjusted the design. It seems a really obvious and simple thing to change: if it breaks when it’s too tight then they’re obviously using the wrong materials.
So yeah. Disappointing. Was almost just what I needed, but nope. Will be returning it as it just doesn’t do what is required of it.
The second unit works well with all the Bluetooth headphones I have tried it with, I think the crucial difference was that a software update did not apply properly to the first Mighty, and I had no way of manually re-applying it, or re-triggering the update as an end user. I can't comment on the battery life or longevity yet, but will update if I have any problems.
Also, to confirm this definitely does work with Spotify Premium for family, I think the person who said it didn't work in a below review is just being a donut.
Edit: I used this once in the end, and replaced it with a Garmin smart watch which is more more convenient to use. These don't really have much of a purpose.
After much derision for version 1, I was hopeful that version 2 'Vibe' was going to be tremendous.
In short, it ain't. Mine unit was forked inside 3 hours. Now totally useless and waiting for their customer services to get back in contact with me in the next week.
This device is fabulous on paper, but it is entirely poor in reality. I will definitely be sending back.
The days of a micro MP3 player that can play Spotify are still not here yet. We will wait for Mighty or another player to get this much needed little music player correct.
My original unit was faulty, customer services sent me a replacement unit quite quickly and I sent back the faulty device.
Within 3 weeks the replacement device also stopped working. Simply wouldn't power on. Even before the fault when the device was working I have to say the pairing across Bluetooth and WiFi networks to allow Spotify synchronisation was fiddly and often quite time consuming - I really would have expected it to be better.
Needless to say I will be returning the 2nd device back to the seller.
I would not recommend buying this
It was relatively easy to set up with the app, and it's quite intuitive to use. There is a 'tour' on the app to explain what all the different coloured lights mean. After about a month of use, I did have an issue where I was unable to connect to the app, and also I was getting an error message from the device saying I had too many devices connected to my Spotfiy account to continue (which wasn't true). I contacted customer support and I was walked through the solution over a series of polite and concise emails.
The battery life could be better, but I just have to remember to charge it up after around 3 hours worth of use.
I'm really pleased with this device and I definitely think it's worth the money. I do feel slightly apprehensive sometimes when it doesn't connect to the app, but it usually does after a few tries, and now customer support have told me how to do a reboot, so I can try that in the future. If it continues to work as it has been, then I will definitely be happy to recommend it. I know this is early days for this company, so I want to support them, as I think this is such a great idea.
The app is very easy to use and upload your playlists. Once on the device, the music quality is decent and as high as I’d expect! The controls are very straightforward and when swapping playlists will speak out which one you’re currently listening to and also can shuffle the playlists.
All in all this is a very useful device, easy to use! And finally a small player that can operate with Spotify.
But the problem is once I am in the gym it now and again says 'Spotify unable to login, re synch'. So I resynch it at home and this time I took it to the gym and as soon as I tried to pair with the earphones I got the error msg again straight away. This is very frustrating not least as once down the gym I have to work out in silence other than listening to every one else puffing and panting!
Also I thought the idea was that this was an offline device? So once on the Mighty it should play for ever until you change the playlists.
Update this time it worked down the gym for a while then cut out. I rebooted it a few times and it suddenly started playing. Great concept, poor execution Mighty.
Set up was a breeze and it works perfectly, with great sound.
I cant understand the people saying they had problems, it was really easy to set up, just follow the steps in order and away it goes. Great piece of kit. Very pleased.
I am happy to say that the device has worked perfectly so far - I didn't have any problems uploading music or pairing devices
My only complaint is that the clip is a bit weak - I'm going to have to find something to secure it with or it'll fall of my waist when I'm running. I'm willing to put up with this as there doesn't seem to be an affordable alternative
Addendum; six months in and the spring clip unexpectedly detached itself while I was walking. Had I been trail running I might not have realised until I was out of Bluetooth range. The unit still works perfectly, but I am very disappointed. Spring clips are prone to tbreak in this way and it’s a shame as it’s otherwise a great product.
