To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I think that I’ve got most of Ina Garten’s cookbooks and I’ve always found her practical and easy to follow with good wholesome recipes. The recipes in this book seem to be more specialised which is fine if you wish to develop your culinary skills. As with all American cookbooks it takes a while to get used to the terminology and measurements.
Today, I received the Modern Comfort Food cookbook by Ina Garten. I did a quick read and I found plenty of beautiful photos illustrating her newest cookbook. That's the highpoint of her cookbook.
Sadly, I didn't find enough new useable recipes to make me want to keep her cookbook. Part of it isn't totally Ina Garten's fault as I am allergic to avocados, bananas, tree nuts and peanuts. A lot of her recipes in her cookbook use what I listed above. After I mentally started removing the ingredients I could not eat I realized I wasn't going to be making an updated or modern recipe.
Some of the recipes you'll find in her cookbook include:
Pomegranate Gimlets Chicken Pot Pie Soup Lobster BLTs Ultimate Beef Stew Steak Fajitas Truffled Mac & Cheese Roasted Broccolini & Cheddar Cheddar & Scallion Creamed Corn Outrageous Garlic Bread Black & White Cookies Applesauce Cake with Bourbon Raisins Boston Cream Pie Breakfast Tacos
