I needed this cable for a monitor send down a small audio snake. This lets me use one of the extra snake lines as an output, instead of running a separate cable from the board to the monitor. I usually order directly from Monoprice, but this item was out of stock. I went looking for another source on Amazon and discovered they had the same cable in-stock (with two-day shipping, too). Works great! Monoprice consistently has the best products at the best price, even if you buy them through Amazon.

The cables I received were not properly tightened and/or were missing threadlocker so the sheath could be easily unscrewed on the 1/4in side. I don't know if they normally use threadlocker but all the other Monoprice cables I have received have not had any issues with this. As usual, everything else about the cable is fine.

I purchased this to use in a studio for experimenting with equipment of different connectivity so it does not get daily heavy use. However I noticed that the cable was large and from the feel appeared to be quite robust. The connectors are gold plated (probably flash) and appeared to be well constructed Chinese products. I did not open the connectors but the backshells were securely tightened to the connector body which indicated good manufacturing processes. My initial testing and subsequent use did not produce any poor connection indicators. Overall (based on light usage and years of experience with studio cables and assemblies) I would judge this more than acceptable quality. Using this review as a guide keep in mind that I did not put this assembly through severe stress such as you might find on stage or daily studio use.
