OKAY....so I was hesitant to buy this because I saw the above review where the girl said she got a bald spot after. I bought it anyway, lol. I’m 20 years old, I have been having issues with product buildup in my hair for about a month now. I’ve tried a long list of shampoos and conditioners, home made masks, anything, you name it. every time, my hair would still look and feel greasy and it really was getting frustrating. it looked SO bad. I used this product today for the first time. I saw another review saying the chemical smell was too much. I made sure to smell it so i could form my own opinion about that, and i don’t know what these people are talking about. there is NO CHEMICAL SMELL. it smells fine. I didn’t use other shampoo, just used this as a shampoo massaged it i to my scalp for 30 seconds, rinsed, did the same thing again, put conditioner in, that’s it. Well my hair just dried and not only is it NOT GREASY AT ALL, it smells great, it’s not dried out, and it LOOKS AMAZING. I never leave product reviews but I literally had to. I am so grateful for this product. WORTH EVERY PENNY.
I have very hard water and my hair has had so much limescale/buildup it's felt like straw for like two years and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. I don't dry/straighten/dye my hair, it is not damaged . This was recommended as a good shampoo for hard water and it is AMAZING. My hair finally feels soft again after using it. I put coconut oil and argan oil in my hair instead of conditioner, and since using this shampoo it's actually able to absorb the oils instead of them just sitting on top of my hair. Anyway, highly recommended for people with hard water.
I googled the product looking for a different shampoo for my colored hair and it was recommended. Thought it was pricey for the amount compared to others I got it expecting better results. Truth is that I didn’t like how it smells (kind of clinical smell I read somewhere and completely agree) and my hair was so dry even during the wash that my fingers couldn’t go through my scalp without pulling my hair, it feels like a hair helmet, where water goes through but it’s very difficult to manage. At the end of each shower I can see lots of hair in the tub. I don’t like it at all, I’m hating my shower time that I used to love so much. But I was about to write the review and looked for other reviews and I’m feeling negligent in realizing it is a clarifying shampoo (I didn’t even know what this was), so looked for more information and now don’t wanna rate it wrong since I’ve been using it 2-3 times a week (even though these things happened since the very first time). So, I wouldn’t buy it again but it definitely cleans. Learned my lesson, gonna be extra extra careful when buying stuff. BTW I have long, dark and colored hair.
I have no idea what retailer this is but it’s not the actual Moroccan Oil brand. I am 80% confident this bottle has been filled with a Neutrogena or off brand face wash. It is the SAME EXACT color and smell as the neutrogena Oil free acne face wash. It does not leave your hair feeling clean, clarified or anything. I even tried washing it a second time and just Noooo no no. Do not buy, go to sephora or buy it from your salon because this is not legit.
Get out your deep conditioner after useing, but excellent for that twice monthly super cleansing. Great on itchy, dandruff prone scalps. Also great to use before a color service. Gets all the styling residue buildup off leaving the hair perfect for color. You will definitely need to use a really good conditioner or mask after. I wouldn't use more than 2x per month per my hairdressers recommendation. Great product.
I typically have a problem with my hair getting feeling too oily or dirty. No matter how well I scrub it, it just doesn’t feel clean. I was hesitant to try this product because people complaining about the smell or it didn’t work. The smell is a little chemical smelling, but after using my hydrating conditioner the smell wasn’t bad. It also didn’t leave my hair feeling dry! One use & it literally feels SOOO much better. I highly recommend using!
Moroccan Oil Clarifying shampoo is great for me. I swim four times a week and have had damage to my hair from all of the chlorine. I am using a gel before swimming to protect my hair, but I don't think it all gets cleared out, when I shampoo after a swim. After two weeks I seem to have significant build up of the gel. Clarify gets it all out. I top off the process by leaving my conditioner on for ten minutes, and the result is great!
I bought this product because I live out in the country and have extremely hard water. I had so much gunk and build up in my hair that I wasn’t able to get out with any other clarifying shampoo I tried. I found out about this shampoo online and went ahead and bought it to try it out, and I am in love. After only one use most of the gunk is out of my hair, it is softer, and it has less of a straw feel to it. I am so happy with this purchase.
After using it the hair is squeaky clean. I like it if I have to use hair spray in windy weather. I need a conditioner afterward as I have dry hair. I use it about every 10 days. If you use it too often it will really dry the hair out. But used wisely, it's a great product. Been using it for years.
I always use this shampoo before I put semi-permanent dye on my hair (as in, manic panic type dyes). It's perfect for that use - it strips all the built-up dirt, oils, and leftover product from my hair and leaves it in the perfect condition to be dyed.
