The motorola mbp50 digital video baby monitor comes with a baby monitor and a portable five colour lcd curved screen serving as the parent unit. NOTE: The Parent Unit is assembled with a built-in rechargeable battery pack (Lithiumion battery 1880 mAh, to give up to 5 hours monitor operation), please charge it for 16 hours before initial use. The battery is not a user accessible item. Please contact the helpline if you think it needs replacing. NOTE: Make sure the antenna of the item is up on parent unit for improved ranging and the Baby unit (Camera) to be plugged in the mains and to be always switched on. This information has been added on the DP. Noise interference could be coming from parent unit: Your baby and parent unit maybe too close. Move them further apart. Make sure there is at least 2 m between the 2 units to avoid audio feedback Make sure the baby and parent unit are not near other electrical equipment, such a television, computer or cordless/mobile telephone. Use of other 2.4 GHz products, such as wireless networks (Wi-Fi routers), bluetooth systems, microwaves ovens, may cause interference with this product. Ideal to keep the baby monitor at least 1.5 m (5 ft) from these types of products or turn them off if they appear to be causing interference. Note: • Make sure that the Baby Camera is actually plugged in to mains. As the camera is not portable, it always needs to be plugged in. • Ensure that the Baby Camera is actually switched on. There is a button/switch on the side of device • Also if the products are around other devices on 2.4GHz, it may affect the range and performance of the units. The structure of the dwelling can also affect range – how many walls, doors, 2nd floor, types of construction material can all reduce range. • As for not being able to hear, not certain if the volume is set to 0, could be that when it is used with the monitor out of range of the camera
