Water I received has a close best before date, I know water can't go bad but for it to have such a close best before date it's probably been sitting in these bottles for a few years... Who knows what chemicals could be leaking into it...
The bottle size is very convenient, smaller then what you would buy as a single bottle from a retailer. Though a useful size to carry/ put in your bag for the day. MountFranklin doesn’t have any standout taste. Which is what you want in water. You also don’t have the “tap water taste” which you get from the tap. The bottles are made of 100% recycled material which is definitely a plus. With the price being half of the supermarkets this one gets my recommendation. A cheap case of water, I like MountFranklin but let face it, its water.
If you don't mind the guilt associated with having water shipped across the country in individual plastic bottles that are then shrink wrapped in more plastic and placed in a box with paper filler. Its a good deal.
This is the somewhat harder to find mango flavour of MountFranklin sparkling water.
It is unsweetened, with just a hint of mango flavour which, to me, does not even taste like mango but which does make the water taste different than the plain MountFranklin sparkling water. It ALSO doesn't make it taste like citrus, like the more common lemon and lime flavours do.
If you want a less "sharp"/acidic tasting unsweetened fizzy water, this and the MountFranklin berry flavour are the way to go.
It is funny to me that these zero calorie waters are packed in the health-conscious (ie, kilojoule-reducing) 250ml can packaging rather than the standard size cans in which one finds fizzy water in America. Do they do this so that drinkers of this water can make a fashion statement of prioritising anything slim? To make it look more like a specialty beverage than a standard canned drink?
