Product description
Greeting, holiday movie fans and culture lovers, I am the Great Gonzp... or as I am better known to fans of this classic motion picture - literary legend Charles Dickens. Ready to laugh, cry, sing, frolic, cavort and enjoy yourself beyond belief! Well, you're in luck, because the 20th Anniversary Edition of Disney's The Muppet Christmas Carol is guaranteed to put you in a holiday spirit that will stay with you forever - or at least until your Aunt Ruth starts complaining that nobody is eating the fruitcake she brought... again! Available for the first time ever on Blu-ray with high definition sound and picture, so you can enjoy even more of my blue-ness, not to mention the incredible spectacle of Kermit the Frog as Bob Cratchit, Miss Piggy as Emily Cratchit, Academy Award winner Michael Caine (Best Supporting Actor, 1999 The Cider House Rules) as Scrooge, wonderful songs by Academy Award winner Paul Williams (Best Original Song, 1976, "Evergreen," from A Star Is Born), and, of course, my pal Rizzo the Rat as... well, Rizzo the Rat. A heartwarming and hilarious holiday classic, told as never before by yours truly! Yule Love it! Happy Holidays!

We watch this movie every year without fail and it is just as good as the first time.
Good fun for all the family.

We had this on VHS before and so didn't get the extras (the bloopers are a must see) however a bit gutted that they cut down on one song and edited out another altogether - hence 4 stars for this DVD not the 5 stars that the film in its entirety really deserves.
All-in-all I would strongly recommend this for all the family, old or young! :)

By the way, please don't buy this or any other Region 1 DVD and then give it a bad review simply because you don't have the means to play it!
P.S. The blu-ray (in a set) does not include Belle's song either, sadly

one of my favourite christmas films ever. me and wife watch again and again.
surprised they only released this on bluray in the us only and that the uk never got a release of this film on bluray.
but well worth the buy picture quality is something much better.
