This is exactly what I needed for my Taylor guitar, nobody wants to see £5k drop on to the floor as the strap slips it's button, and because of that I will say it is perfect but wow is it expensive for what it is and you have to buy the strap locks on top of this.
I bought a new Alvarez semi-acoustic and the strap was always threatening to come off due to the L.R. Baggs input/strap button's (bad) design. This was exactly what I was looking for, absolutely perfect for the job and fits with the S-Locks. Check your measurements before buying as this one stated metric and L.R. Baggs and screwed on like it was always meant to be. A sleek and beautiful solution to a uniquely semi-acoustic issue. Thank you for designing and producing this product.
The only reliable solution (as of March 2021) in order to get a functionnal strap button if your electro-acoustic has a combined input jack/strap button. all in one. Howerer, acoustic guitar makers should already equiped their guitars with such adapters. This Acousti-lok adapter works pretty good (especially if you install Schaller's strap locks on your guitar strap). However, it is way too expensive for what it is. This adptor costs probaly less than 4$ to make, and it sells for more than 30$. C'mon MusicNomad... Hopefully, Chineese manufacturers will read my comment, and come with a good substitute for a much better price. By the way MusicNomad, you are offering excellent products, but you're simply stealing your customers with that Acousti-Lok adapter.
This adapter comes in two sizes -- standard and metric. On acoustic-electric guitars with the input jack in the endpin, most straps won't fit over the larger endpin unless you cut a larger hole in the strap. This is risky and could lead to the strap slipping off the endpin and the guitar falling to the floor. To protect your guitar, you can add Schaller strap locks which secure nicely to this adapter. This is an extremely secure setup and definitely worth the money if you value your guitar and sometimes play in a standing position. Initially I bought one of these and as soon as I installed it on one guitar, I immediately ordered a another one for my other guitar.
Ok ... listen up. I have an acoustic with LR Baggs pickup in it. The site says you need the metric version. NOT ... I bought it, won't fit. So, I then bought the American (standard) thread version and it fits perfectly. Great product ... overpriced in my opinion, but works well.
