Military operation. Rubber gloves (had to wait until the house was empty) the cooker timer and a couple of the cleanest, softest towels I could find. The rubber gloves were there as I was worried the stuff might knacker (!) my fingernails, as they are made of Keratin too, so the seven p's 'Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance'. I have quite thick coarse hair, so set the timer for 7 minutes. After ensuring I had plenty of elbow room in the bathroom, and the washing machine/dishwasher were off so full power to the shower, I started whacking the stuff on. Gave it a reasonable smear, like butter on toast on my shoulders, but when it came to my meat n' two veg I was spreading it thin like Marmite. Probably took me 2-3 mins to get as much coverage of my shoulders, back, sack and crack as I could, then I elbowed the cooker timer to start.
Quite a few reviews have commented on a strong chemical smell, I didn't find that, not as strong as the smell of a normal shower gel in the bathroom, though I did have the window open a bi, in case the emergency services had to come in with HAZMAT gear.
Seven minutes later I leapt like a salmon into the shower and punched it to warp speed, grabbed a Loofah, and after wetting it wiped the top of my left shoulder and arm to find not a single hair. That was great, but of secondary importance. went for the tallywhacker, and same result! Although I'd scrimped a bit when it came to that area, I just kept rinsing this 'sludge' of dissolving hair, and rinsing (VERY) thoroughly with tepid/warm water.
Also worried about my Taint and Rusty Sheriffs Badge, I squatted, sprayed, prayed and wiped and.... result! Kept cleaning/wiping with medium pressure for about ten minutes (sorry, Southern Water) and switched to a sponge and shower gel and all good. Dried everything North of my belly button as per, and patted everything South like a newborn baby kitten. After stepping out of the shower, I did feel a little mild tingling, but having been very thorough with the rinse, I knew it wasn't residual Nad's on my Nad's so slipped on some soft cotton shorts (sans boxers) and had an inspection in the mirror. Good first effort, though missed quite a few small patches on my back, and could maybe have applied a little more to my gonads, I think it'll get easier with practice and some shoulder stretches before the next application.
I would DEFINITELY suggest NOT going to the gym or out in the sun on the day of application.
I am relieved to have have broken my duck and not my dick, and perhaps the day after tomorrow will try and get the bits I missed with a targeted application, so it's all (reasonably) uniform and will need reapplying at the same time.
As for the 'right' amount to apply... I'm 6ft 3 and 24" shoulder to shoulder and I'd say I used about 1/4 of a tube in total, on the tops of my arms, shoulders, back (or most of it), arse (cheeks) and 'landing gear'. Still deciding what to do about the chest...
Very good product.
I did and they weee like red hot pokers for 3 days. Lovely and smooth but enlarged to the size of large saucers and redder than tomato ketchup.
Did a super job on my ball bag tho. Never seen it so shiny. My girlfriend can see her face in it now.
Bum crack also looking great.
Brilliant product but avoid the nips.
Just a review uodate:
After 48hrs the skin in my scrotum peeled. My nipples buzzed for about three days. I think I must have particularly sensitive skin, as as the manufacturer states on the packaging, they do not recommend using it in these areas, even though some reviewers seem to have got on with it. Also, after about 1 week the hair that did disappear has grown back, which makes me wonder whether the hassle and planning required to use this is worth it. I bought a Phillips 3000 body shaver instead and it works a treat. I think the cream effectively nukes your skin and hair, so unless you have particularly thick, problem hair and asbestos skin, I would stick to shaving or go for a professional wax / laser treatment.
If you are scared of shaving the lads, then get this stuff. Anyone else, just be careful with a razor and you'll be done so much faster with less stench
I did go against the instructions and tried it downstairs, and it worked. But it was quite intense, it started to burn and I had to get it off quickly.
Also to note, I took the cream under and around to my butt - beware, it left me with butt acne. I’m talking seriously red and inflamed, “razor bump” welts under the skin, like bad acne, and lots of it.
I have never had anything like that in my life. And it is even painful to sit on, as the hair is growing back it’s even worse. Who knows how long it’s going to clear up.
Just think twice if you really need it all hairless down there.
I’ll definitely be trimming next time
I'm pretty certain i left it on for too long, use a phone timer to keep an eye on how long its been.
It says works in 4 minutes, however i think it's different for different people, i'd say wait until you start feeling a slightly warm tingle, then wash it off soon after, for me it's about 4-6 minutes.
I apply it before having a shower, so by the time it's started to work, you can just pop into the shower and wash it off before it causes a burn. After using it for the past week, I think I've got it down now, and works every time.
It's great for the area it's hard to reach with a razor, which i doubt you'd want to use a razor in that area. Plus you'd be able to cover the whole area rather than miss parts. I cannot complain with the job it's done.
The only issue i have is the smell, it's very pungent. So i'd suggest to open the window before using it, also the smell of the product really sticks to your hands. Other than that, it's brilliant. Once you've got the technique & timing down I'm confident that you'd be very pleased with the results.
I have used veets removal cream previously and suspect that they use a stronger formula than this. When I've left veet on a sensitive area like the nips for more than the 4 mins you'll feel it a short while after. I'd imagine if you breached 10mins you'd be hurting, that said it removed every.single.hair. Nads however takes a good amount of the formula slathered on your target area to remove the hair and even then some will still remain (and I'd class myself as naturally quite a hairless chap).
The balls. Nads dont say you can use it on the crown jewels but I've had no issues. They recommend 4 mins before removing the cream I would suggest closer to 6 or 7mins (I have quite sensitive skin as well) and as above some of the hair may still remain which I would suggest a follow up application to the following day. After use, as par for the course I would always recommend a good body moisturiser ESPECIALLY if you've been tidying up the basement! For this I recommend Jack Blacks cool body moisturiser.
It's a game changer.
I tested the water by putting a dollop on the bottom of my leg (very hairy) as they suggest always doing a patch test first. Left it on 5 minutes and didn't really notice anything. The hair didn't come away and I wasn't burnt. I thought maybe this stuff isn't as good as I expected. WrONG.
I liberally applied it to my nads, it was cool and ever so slightly tingly after a while. I left it on for a.grand.total of 10 minutes (the max it recommends on the bottle) and washed it off Iin the shower.
Big mistake. When you wash it off, as the water runs down your leg the creamy water starts going to work again.. now the insides of my legs are as smooth as a baby's ass as well. My nads were bald as anything but the hair in the surrounding areas where the water had run off was clumping together like a bad case of alopecia.
I advise just wiping the cream away next time.
Either way, this stuff does exactly what it says it'll do. And it does it fast and pain free. I'll be buying again as now.ove started if I stop the itching of the regrowing hairs will drive.me insane.
The slightest bit of cream added to the wrong places could takes ages for the hair to grow back at least 1 - 2 months.
Easy hair removal works fine.
Would be easier if you could have someone apply the remove the cream for you but if not it's would be fine to use yourself.
