I had purchased some at a local store while waiting for these to arrive. I'm glad that I ordered these.

If it helps with hand size I ordered a medium and am a size 9 ring size and squeeze into size 7 gloves (for biahtlon)

I hope that gives people assistance with the challenge that I had, which was choosing a size. I'm a beginner so nothing further to comment but if you're starting 3 finger Scruggs style picking, don't start until you have the thumb and finger picks...it's a whole different experience.

They work, but are expensive

I'm learning to play, so I'm no expert. The used banjo I had came with a few metal finger picks with one that was rounded and the others were really pointy. I liked the rounded one which is why I bought these. They fit well, but I find the price was kinda ridiculous. But I wanted picks that didn't have any logos on them. I didn't need the thumb picks, but this was the only set I could find like this that didn't have some brand name stamped on them and didn't feel like shopping around any longer.

I heard that it was important that the edges were rounded, which these are. If the edges are sharp, then they cut up the strings over time.

These picks are great, and I love the bright colors of the thumb picks. My only complaint is that they can be a little difficult to get tight enough on my small fingers (I'm a woman) without overlapping the ends, but they still work just fine most of the time.
