There are BIG (and unannounced) quality-decreasing changes in the recipe: more sodium (10 milligrams more), more calories (20 more), less protien (half as much), more carbs, and a higher breading to fruit filling ratio. Qualitatively they don't taste as good, probably because there's more breading. We Have been eating these for a long time but will not reorder.
EDIT 02/17: Nature's Bakery sent me a replacement box, and these actually taste like raspberry :) thanks for standing by your product and offering excellent customer service! Updated review from 3 to 4 stars.
Please make sure it's okay before you take a bite.
The strawberry bars, when we have them, are beloved of the kids. They don't like any of the other flavors, though I think many of them are good. The lemon is great for a fig bar, in my opinion.
So, are the products pulled off the shelf by robot, or are the people who do this not given a text description of any kind? Any human who knew they were looking for strawberry would know that the boxes were mislabeled.
My husband asked me one night if I’ve been checking his bars after I take them out of their packaging, I told him no. He said there’s mold on that package. Okay maybe it’s a fluke. Open another one, more mold. The expiration was sometime for the end of September. I was disappointed that they didn’t even last until their expiration. No we double check when we pack them in his lunch. Please pay extra attention to the date!!
