I put some down in our yard and it helped but the granules linger. Don't expect to put this down and have it melt away overnight. It does wonders for odors though. I've used it in a trash can after cooked broccoli was thrown away and it was great. It didn't work on the dog poop though. Supposedly it dries up the poop, which I tried. What I ended up with was a pile that was rock hard on the outside and gooey-poopey on the inside. On the plus side it DID (mostly) stop smelling until I picked it up. However, I do have two 100lb dogs so maybe it would work better on smaller poops... All in all this is a pretty great product worth having around. When my current batch runs out, I will be buying more.
I hear mixed reviews so I'll throw my 2 cents in. I have 2 large dogs. It's a dirt run and during the cold the ground gets hard and there's a standing urine odor. I suggest dilute the urine with a sprinkler or hose to dilute the urine often then treat with this. Hope that helps someone out.
My son has two big Olde English bulldogs and one will only pee on the cement which creates a horrendous smell. This stuff was a godsend and the small yard is ordor free. He recommended it to me as I live in an apartment with a small maltipoo. We use the fresh patch service and by week 2 I start noticing an ordor. This stuff has eliminated the problem completely! I mean ZERO smell using about two tablespoons. Between the two of us, its been tested on artificial grass, dirt, cement and real grass. I can't recommend it enough!
We have two female dogs using a dog run. In the winter when we can't water down the run as much it tends to stink up a bit, esp. when it gets above freezing. Sprinkled liberally the Eliminator on the run where the dogs go the most. Odor doesn't immediately go away, but it seems to be working as time goes on and the dogs continue to use the run to do their business. Urine smell is greatly reduced. We apply every couple weeks or after it has snowed and melted. Looking forward to see how this does during the warmer months.
I never leave reviews. This stuff is great. After rain in AZ, where it rarely rains, the urine smell in backyard gravel area where two dogs eliminate, smelled horrible. We could smell it inside 50 feet away! It was bad. This stuff worked right away. No odor whatsoever since. Our area is at least 20x30 ft of gravel over dirt.
Of course our new dog picked the landscaped part of the yard to lift a leg (boys!). He is not neutered so the urine smell was STRONG. Couldn't break him of that spot so bought this to absorb the odor since it was one of the few products that wasn't for artificial grass. I didn't realize how well it was working until I ran out! Buying some more. Happy with the product and performance.
A new neighbor lets her cat roam the neighborhood, killing birds (some rare) and chipmunks (trouble makers). Well guess whose little corner is the neighborhood kitty box? Right outside my front door. As soon as I used this; threw granules in the dirt and shrubs, the Oder started subsiding and was gone in less than 10 minutes. I followed with Cat Repellent. Now I step out the front door and don't have to worry about visitors smelling cat stuff. No one asks, "Do you have a cat?" (Don't get me wrong, I do LOVE pets! I just don't have a cat!)
Long story short. Lab kept peeing in the same area so the odor hit hard....
Tried 2 gallons of Simle Green Pet Eliminator, oxy clean and others but this product does seem to "absorb odors". I appyed heavy and it took an hour to begin but there is no "scent". Rain washes it out making inert.
We have 4 dogs, and recently bought a home with fake grass, the humidity and heat really made the grass smell like urine and with the windows open, the smell came into the house, it was awful. I sprinkled Nature's Pure Edge Yard Odor Eliminator all over the grass, gravel and planters, the smell was almost gone, the next day, I sprinkled again, the urine smell is gone, and I didn't even use any water or a broom to get it into the grass, just right out of the bottle, still have a quarter of the bottle left, I used it generously over the grass too. This is an amazing product!
