-Do not over-tighten the mesh filter onto the plunger
-Be gentle with the glass carafe.
-Rinse the mesh filter immediately after use.
A quality coffee maker with no plug or need for paper filters so eco friendly and economical. Just make sure to tilt the plunger when removing and use a plastic spoon to prevent scratches or chips.
Would make a nice birthday or Christmas gift.
I have asked for a replacement and to get a refund, so hopefully this is a one off, but I shall see.
My main problem is that its plastic caging is not removable. This means you cannot clean the whole thing. Not only this but water seeps down the sides of the base and gets trapped in between the glass and the plastic which leaves marks where there water evaporates and stagnates.
Because of this I think I'll stick to their original french press in the future.
