These are thinner than I thought, but they work for what I needed. I use them to wear under my half helmet while riding my Harley on cold mornings. Alone, they are not warm enough. But, I put this on followed by one of my neck gaiters and then my helmet. The layering with the neck gaiter makes the ride comfortable. I would like to find a warmer version of this because I like the idea!
So I just got my mask in and I have to say it looked and felt great. Fit was great as well. Now the bad part it was no good when it comes to warmth or blocking wind. I had this on my motorcycle and my bike has a farin and it was around 40 degrees and I felt every bit of wind and chill yes even with a farin but looks cool lol
I wasn't a fan of this balaclava. It's more like a head sock with cutouts for your eyes. The material had an odor and was like the thicker part of panty hose. For me it was uncomfortable. They did engineer perforations around the nose and mouth to help with breathability, I thought that was nice feature. It does have a single sewing seam down the middle of your head that I didn't like the feel of, between that, the tightness and the odor I sent this one back.
Some reviewers don't like the fact that the material is rather thin. When it is really cold I wear multiple layers and this is the perfect base layer. The mesh over the mouth/nose is a rather wide weave and I find it fogs up glasses less than most masks. Not perfect but I have yet to find a mask that is. Breath in through the nose and out through the mouth and it works pretty good!
