To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Do not buy - it just doesn't work! Measured in a controlled environment, at 23*C, on two healthy people. Their temperatures ranged from 34*C to 40*C, which is clearly wrong. Not only was it wrong but subsequent readings seconds apart produced very different results!
Not suitable for the use that we bought it for. You cannot take a body temperature if the ambient temperature is below 16 degrees. For night time in Tasmania this makes it pretty useless. Nice looking unit. Easy to use. But we can't use it for the need we bought it for.
