From the manufacturer
Orchard Toys' bestseller! In this fun and simple memory game, players must race to be the first to fill their trolley or basket by matching all the items on their shopping list. As they play, children age 3-6 years will develop matching and memory skills and personal and social skills. This award-winning game is a firm favourite with parents and children alike, having captured imaginations for over 20 years.
Players have a choice of four fun shopping lists to choose from, including one on a tablet! Each list features a variety of everyday items to observe and talk about.
Trolleys and Baskets
Includes the option of a trolley or basket to fill with items from your shopping list.
Two Levels of Play
Play as a memory game by turning the cards over, or for younger players turn the cards face up and play as a simple matching pairs game.
Develops Matching and Memory Skills
Older children can play more strategically by remembering where the cards from their list have been placed.
Encourages Observational Skills
Children will need a keen eye to spot where the different items on their shopping list are returned to if another player picks the card up.
Once the game is finished the cards from Shopping List can be used to start conversation with younger children about different types of food.

What I also love about it is that it's very compact so it's easy to carry around, very sturdy and overall great quality.
It's a shame it doesn't have more booster packs aside from clothes and fruit and vegetables.
Overall, highly recommend!!!

The game contains two shopping trollies, two baskets, 4 lists and variety of products all on strong cardboard with clear bright colours.
My son is three and not great at taking turns or following rules so we mix it up a bit in doing the shopping in different way. There is a lot a preschooler or KS1 child can get from the game in sorting, colours, imagination, role play, game playing etc.
My son loves to play it and we even took it to his great grandparents to play last week and they seemed to enjoy it too.
The pieces are well made from thick cardboard so should stand the test of time. The pictures are bright and engaging.
The game is a good for improving their memory skills and visual recognition skills.
There is so much more that kids can do with this game rather than just play a matching game. My kids like to play their own little games with the pieces, pretending that they are going shopping in a supermarket and lining the items up on shelves.
I think the pieces in the game could be used for language development with younger kids, or helping to practice reading words for kids that have started school. I stuck some little price tags on the pieces with blu-tac for my older daughter so that she could practice adding items together when playing shop.
