Yes, I took some precautions before applying and you need them if you want the perfect fit but that's just the way physics and nature works. So go take your Switch and the protector to the bathroom, take a warm shower so dust particles aren't flying everywhere (moisture wins with dust) and just follow one of the guides on Orzly youtube channel to apply (use the dust stickers to hold the glass in place instead of using them on the screen) to install it. Managed to get it perfectly aligned and without any bubbles/dust underneath the glass on my first try.
As a bonus it comes in pairs so you'll have a spare piece of glass just in case
The installation was fairly easy as I have experience with glass screen protectors. When installing, peel back the plastic liner halfway; then align one side. Put pressure on that side around the middle and peel the rest, making sure to slide through the middle. This will help to lessen any potential air bubbles. Once fully laid down, push from middle outwards. I applied the screen in one go with no bubbles and perfect fitment.
The thickness isn't noticeable at all unless you look directly at the edges.
The dust removal tape was actually the worst thing though as it left a big sticky smear on the glass I had to wash off.
I had literally just unboxed the switch so dust removal wasn't really necessary apart from one tiny tiny spec I thought I'd try and remove.... It would be better to wipe the dust off with cleaning solution rather than the dust sticker.
With both protectors, I had a bubble underneath, tried to push it out with the provided card, which is essentially just glorified cardboard, couldn't push it out because the card just bends, had to get under the glass to lift it off, and then mangled the glue. Both times.
I was amazed the same thing happened both times considering how the reviews are mostly along the lines of "so easy to install, no problems at all, literally sent by God".
Not to mention how painfully overpriced it is in the first place.
Also the protector is low profile enough to work perfectly with Labo, haven't tried a skin yet but I'd probably take it off beforehand and replace it with the second one included after installing the skin.
Instructions were easy and straightforward, usually I suck at screen protectors but this one went really well.
The paper instructions showed pictures of a mobile phone, but described to line up the grooves in the screen protector with the camera and speakers of the switch.
Screen protector went on really easy, dropped it down onto the screen and off it went. I may have had a really good placement because I had no air bubbles and didn't need to press down on the middle to start the suction process, did it automatically. All I had to do was push the edges of the screen protector to stick them to the screen and it was all done.
All in all, this product is extremely useful and is a must buy for any Nintendo Switch, pretty sad one doesn't come preinstalled on a Switch
Instructions and the additional items included with the screen protector made application very simple.
Screen protector fits perfectly to the edge of the screen, camera and speakers.
Package comes with everything you need:
- 2 screen protectors
- 2 alcohol swabs
- microfiber cloth
- stickers for removing dust
- a small firm card for removing air bubbles
This is more a flaw of the Nintendo Switch dock, but because of how snug the switch naturally slots in, the screen does add a little friction near the bottom when slotting and pulling the console out.
1. I never tried tempered glass screen protectors.
2. I was going to carry my switch inside a case, which will also carry a portable aluminium stand. So I did not want to compromise the integrity and lifespan of the screen.
BUILD - the quality of the tempered glass was better than what I expected. Packaging was really good considering knowing how cheap their costs would be. This packaging was way better than their $25 case.
APPLICATION - it's easy even for someone like me who has medium-large and "less than precise" hands. Tip: just make sure you're in a room where the air is still, so that dust don't move around so much.
AESTHETIC - I agree with all the reviews which say that tempered glass actually looks really good on the Switch. I was initially worried about the reflective nature but there's none. It's clear and you never really notice the protector once it's on.

Pack comes with two screen protectors, two dust stickers (do not use), one reusable duster cloth, and only one single-use alcohol wipe. It's good to have a spare protector, but a spare wipe for it would've been handy, too.
I gave up on the sixth attempt and decided to just live with the small amount of dust visible beneath the protector - only for it to develop air bubbles at two of the corners after a couple of hours doing literally nothing. Not a couple of hours gaming, not a couple of hours charging, just sitting on the table.
I can't say exactly how much of this was my fault and how much of it is the product's fault, but I spent around £20 and a lot of time on these screen protectors, and I still don't have a screen protector on my switch. I certainly wouldn't recommend this experience to anyone.
However, I purchased a second Switch and again bought an Orzly screen protector, to install on a brand new and unused Switch and fitting the screen protector was a totally different experience. The first screen protector actually had contamination on it and this showed as soon as the product was fitted. The second protector was clean but had large air pockets, which took ages to remove and was a pain to fit.
As someone who is not new to fitting screen protectors to devices, I am well versed in getting them fitted well and without issue. All I can assume is that the quality of the product varies because as mentioned above, the first set fitted perfectly and went on without an issue; however, the second set was close to useless!
So, that was one wasted screen protector.
The second one was perfectly clear and went on beautifully. I didn’t use the hinge method, I couldn’t get it right, so I just lined up the bottom, peeled off the film and dropped it on.
These screen protectors are really good quality, so I now feel happy knowing my screen is well protected, they are easy to apply, and you don’t get any bubbles.
Their customer service is brilliant. They sent me an email after my purchase, thanking me for buying it, and with instructions on how to fit the screen protector. Because I had to discard the first one I tried, they sent me a free replacement.
So, my overall opinion?
Excellent customer service and a great quality product. I thoroughly recommend them.
Too often companies make a one-size-fits-all screen protector which has just about the right dimensions, but it clearly hasn't been designed specifically for the intended device. Orzly have nailed it with these screen protectors: the dimensions perfectly cover the necessary parts of your screen but, crucially, LEAVE CUT-OUTS WHERE NECESSARY. They've taken the trouble to design the protectors to align perfectly with both front-facing speaker grills and also the ambient light sensor on the Switch's front display. These cut-outs not only mean that you're not blocking out essential parts of the display, but this also helps to let you line up the screen protector perfectly - thumbs up for going the extra mile here.
The pack comes with 2 screen protectors and all of the expected extras: micro-fibre cloths, alcoholic wipes and sticky-label applicators - so everything you need to get the perfect, dust and bubble-free application is already included. I managed to get a perfect application first time with relative ease.
The actual screen protector is tempered glass, so it's a little thicker than the thin-film alternatives, but provides much better protection - essentially, the screen protector is extremely scratch resistant, but will also shatter upon sufficient impact to dissipate the energy rather than cracking your screen. Conversely, the protector is just thin enough that it doesn't impact on using the touch screen at all. You can still apply faint touches and strokes to the display and these will be registered - definitely something a lot of people worry about when picking (particularly tempered glass) screen protectors.
You also don't get any issues with friction resistance due to the material choice. Obviously, your finger won't glide effortlessly across the screen as it would with no screen protector at all - but the difference made here is so negligible that you will unlikely notice. They're also thin enough that you won't have any issues with magnification changes or glare from bright lights.
As for the price...yeah it's pretty fair. There are many alternatives and all are priced roughly the same. 2-protectors inside the pack is the right number: one protector and one backup. Not only are these good quality but you also get all the other little application extras included in the price. The price you pay for complete confidence in your device's protection though is nothing.
My only final comments would be that if you're considering whether or not to get a screen protector at all: stop what you are doing and get one right away. Even just placing the Switch in and out of the dock can cause little scratches to the screen. For the sake of just a few pounds, these screen protectors will not only prevent little marks like this, but could also save your Switch's screen in the even of a major accident.
Screen protectors are a must have for the Switch - and Orzly provides the perfect solution.
Had been playing in handhled mode mostly and this screen protector was holding up perfectly. Sadly, with the launch of Splatoon 2 I've been using my Switch in the dock for the motion controlled goodness but have found that the adhesive has slowly started to melt with little bubbles forming around the bottom half of the protector. Each time you play docked it gets a little bit worse, not what you want for a handheld console with such a beautiful display.
It has performed the job I really intended it to do (protecting the switch from the dock) but didn't hold up to even a minor impact (the Wolf amiibo falling 6 inches) and now I have scratches on my screen. I just hope I can avoid any incidents with the replacement protector, and that ORZLY has improved the design over the past year.
What I found most annoying, and whats hard to see from the pictures and isnt mentioned in the reviews is that the screen protector is slightly too small for the full size of the screen (both height and width) and leaves you with a thin line around the outside. Perhaps there is a design reason for this but I find it distracting and infuriating to be honest. I will admit people with less OCD tendencies probably wont mind. So despite being largely happy with this Im haunted by a thin line and a small piece of dust.
I cannot recommend this particular screen protector anymore highly. I have a 9 year old son who uses the switch regularly and a 3 year old who loves to break things. This screen protector has so far (not wanting to tempt fate) stood up to anything they have thrown at it. The great thing is that as the product is a pack of 2, I also have a back up for emergencies.
The protector is easy to install without bubbles as long as a little patience is shown everything needed to clean and prep the screen and fit it smoothly is included in the high quality packaging.
It seems to be scratch resistant and has survived a drop onto hard floor without damage to the screen itself or indeed the protector, which considering it is tempered glass, was surprising.
Orzly providing a great product and great value yet again.
2. In the instructional video for the product, they recommend using the dust stickers to apply the protectors. This is problematic, because it's two protectors but only two stickers. You kinda need two stickers per protector to do it right. I didn't use the stickers in the end, I'm better applying screen protector free style :p But common, but in a reasonable amount of dust stickers, people.
3. One of the two protectors had a tiny mark which was clearly visible. Looked like it was chipped. So I had to throw that one away.
I put the other protector on without problem. No bubbles, nothing.
So yeah, basically of the two protectors that came in the packet I could only use one. They could be a bit more generous with the dust stickers and I have my doubts about the quality of the material.
Fortunately the other one did have the adhesive on and worked great. I contacted the seller directly on their website and they completely ignored my complaint form. Really disappointed as I still don't have what I paid for, which means if this one fails I don't have a spare.
Otherwise the product works great. Mine was also delivered without instructions added in the box so I had to find their YouTube channel for help. After that the process was very easy and has remained scratch free and clean since.
