We bought these in size 5 for our 12 month-old (a tad big) because those little Pumas are so damn cute how could you not. I wanted to get them for him in every color. Anyway, he was taking a handful of steps at a time but not walking yet, so we wanted to get him used to “real” shoes and also use them for the playground. They are so lightweight and - evidently - comfortable. He never tries to take them off like he did with the last pair he was wearing (different brand), and is always asking us to put them on. His teachers at school say that he’s the best one in the class at leaving his shoes alone. Complete opposite of what we saw with his previous pair!
I listened to others and bought one size larger for my Son than with other shoes, and it fit him.
These shoes have been great. Cheaper no-name shoes we recently bought my Son are already starting to have problems with the velcro. These Pumas have a long strip of velcro, not just at the ends of the straps. This gives a larger surface area to ensure the straps stay tight. The rubber on the soles also provides great traction for climbing features at playgrounds. We have a metal spiral-around-a-pole climbing feature nearby that my Son's other (new) shoes would slip on. These Pumas grip well and my Son loves that he can climb without needing me to help stabilize his feet.
Ordered these 3 times. I ordered the High Risk Red and white. A Navy-White-Orange pair showed up. I ordered a second time same thing. Price went down so I ordered a third time and still got the Navy and white. My son liked those colors fine so we kept the third pair. But beware, the red ones will not come. Or maybe they will for you. Otherwise, love these shoes. Good quality for the price. Very cute and good for running.
This is our first time buying puma for my son, and wow, do they run small! His most recent sneakers were nike and Adidas and the sizing is always consistent. He just grew out of size 8, so I bought a pair of 9s in both Nike and puma and he can't even fit his foot in the pumas. Not ideal.
