As a sufferer of shin splints and problematic knees it has been difficult for me to find footwear that is both stylish and comfortable. Converse, Vans, Chelsea boots and Doc Martens have aggravated this condition. I have a comfortable pair of walking trainers but they don't exactly go well with smarter clothes or for work.
I searched amazon for boots and Palladium boots popped up. I then found these Pampa Hi boots and read the reviews with some excitement but they seemed a little too good to be true to be honest. The photos looked great so I decided to risk it and ordered them. Within a few days they arrived and I convinced myself as I opened the package that they would either be uncomfortable or an eye sore.
I was immediately pleased and relieved by their appearance. I tried them on and within minutes my doubts and apprehensions disappeared. After a day of wearing them I was delighted. And further on they are everything I've been looking for and well worth the money. If only I had found these two years ago I'd have saved my self from wasting money on Doc Martens and converse I can't wear as well as the discomfort and aggravation these shoes caused my shins and knees.
I will certainly be looking to Palladium for any future footwear needs. No wonder the French Foreign Legion adopted a Palladium boot for their footwear. Great quality, comfortable, practical and good looking. For me the perfect footwear.
I got these in the mail a few weeks ago, to replace some hightops. I wear them to work, and I'm always looking for a stylish all-black shoe I can wear - these look good. My problem with shoes in general is that they all wear out within one year. I buy a pair of shoes and wear them everyday. If a pair makes it a year, I consider it good. Shoes that only make it six months before they are cracking at the sole or the canvas is ripping - I consider bad. Example: Simple shoes: loved the design; but they were done in 6 months. Converse canvas hitops: same. My Converse low tops lasted longer, but still were ripping after 9 months. The Palladium boots look good: we'll see what I say 6 and 12 months from now.
These are great shoes, very comfortable to walk in. I wear these to work, where I am on my feet for 5-8 hours at a time, and the arch support really helps reduce fatigue. Make sure you get a size that isn't too short in length, as these won't "break-in" like other shoes.
This is my second pair of Palladiums and I haven't had a problem with the quality. I anticipate purchasing another pair soon.
