Super cute, love the flushing button! My 15 month-old isn’t quite ready yet but he likes to sit inside the bowl area and press the button repeatedly. He did take a while to realise it was a button because it looks like a speaker, and is on the side instead of the middle like a regular toilet.
We love this potty. It closely resembles the "big" potty, the seat is comfortable with a lower splash guard, ( little girl training) and it sits just a little higher off the ground than most training potties. My granddaughter is tall for her age so this is a big plus. So far so good and I feel like I got a really great value for a very small price. The other thing I really like about this potty is it doesn't sing, talk, or otherwise distract from the business at hand lol, it does have a very realistic flush, but we have a potty chart and surprise toy bowl for rewards, the toilet is just a toilet and I think in this case; less really is more.
I really tried to find the person potty training toilet but unfortunately there is flaws in this one. It is easy to clean. My toddler thinks it’s a toy and takes it apart all day. But the one flaw that annoys me is that the splash guard is not high enough. I keep getting peed on all day. It’s getting a little old. Please make the splash guard higher!! On the positive side the seat is comfy and the flush sound is very cute.
Love this potty! The flushing noise is a little distorted sounding and a bit annoying but batteries can be removed or replaced. Love that the seat is padded, since kids tend to sit on the potty for long periods of time. And also love that it's a transitional toilet so the seat comes off and fits on a regular toilet when they outgrow the potty seat! Super easy to clean, I dump it out, wipe it out, rinse it out then spray with disinfectant and it's sparkling clean with no signs of wear. We've had it for a couple months and my son loves it. A lot of reviews say that the weewee guard is too short for boys but I haven't had a problem with it with my two year old son unless he's got a bit of a chubber going on, then it does get everywhere, but we r teaching him how to aim it down by leaning forward so it's fine for us. This potty is not good for teaching how to stand and pee, it's way too short. Also this potty seat seems a bit shorter than other potty chair but you can stick like a large book or flat piece of wood under to make it a bit taller as they grow. My son is a large two year old, almost 3 feet tall and he fits it just fine.
The main issue I am having with this potty chair is it sliding when my daughter sits on it. There are not rubber feet on the bottom to keep it from moving around on the floor. It causes her to hesitate, making it difficult for her to sit down quickly. Ultimately, I believe this has caused her to lose confidence in trying and now she is avoiding the entire thing. The flushing sound is cool to have and she really likes that. I also love the cushioned seat. That is a must have feature for long sits while training. The height is just right, my daughter is short for her age. I really wish it had rubber feet, therefore I think we are going to have to look for a different chair for her.
Really like the removable seat that fits well on our toilet...however, after few weeks of use my daughter developed contact dermatitis to the foam cushion...we have to stop use and try a non-cushion brand.
Be suspect of the training seat if your child develops a rash on thighs, buttocks, and/or low back. After some reading, looks like this is quite common in other brands with cushions/certain plastics.
I bought this for my step son. He’s not quite ready to potty train but he knew what it was used for because it’s just like a big toilet. I read the other comments about it not being good for a boy to learn with. In my opinion it will be fine, they do sit down sometimes to potty. The flushing sound is realistic and the storage on the back handy!
Live this little chair. I've noticed people complain about it sliding around on wood and tile floors. I took some weather seal foam stripping that was the exact width of the base. And put it all around the base so it would create a seal and stick to the floor better when my son sat down. I'm glad I did that. So just a tip for anyone with that issue. Simple solution. The weather strip has an adhesive side so no glue needed. Also if you do not have that lying around. I'm sure a few dots of hot glue around the bottom would work as well. Just not ideal bc if it gets wet the hot glue will come off. Otherwise my son's love this potty chair. Added a photo of the stripping I'm talking about.
