They are too soft to exfoliate imo
I've had no adverse reaction to this product, no breakouts, irritation, or sensitivity. If you have sensitive skin, I would do a spot/patch test just to make sure they work prior to leaving and then winding up stuck with no skincare. They remove every bit of my makeup as well as any highend or drugstore product I've used.
The convenience is so tempting some nights when you truly don't feel like you could possibly wash your face. Just grab one of these, wet with warm water, wipe away makeup, impurities, and any other pimple causing grime that built up during the day. Then rinse the cloth of the suds and you use the cloth to rinse your face off. This method ensures that your face is thoroughly cleansed.
Whether you frequently travel, are looking for a new method of cleansing, or are just lazy like me, then you'll love these. They save you room when packing because of the multi-functionality. Definitely a new staple in my skin care routuine! I hope this review is helpful in making your decision and if so please hit the helpful button so I know whether my reviews include the information you are looking for. Thanks!
So when I opened the box I was surprised by the fact that all the cloths were folded in four. I suppose it makes sense since each container will give you 33 cloths. Each cloth, once unfolded, is about the size of a regular origami paper. Personally I thought they were quite big. I think it would have worked just as good to have about half the size of the cloth and up to twice as many cloths in the container.
Each cloth can be use only once.... which I find is a bummer. Once wet, the cloth is more easy to use on your face. It does remove the dirt, oil and possibly make up as well (sorry but I do not use much makeup and definitively no mascara...). I was pleased with the cleansing part of it. However I am unsure about the exfoliation and hydration part during the usage of the cloth. I suppose that whatever is hidden in the cloth itself -which is released when putting water - could hydrate the skin, but I have not felt the usual feeling you get when you use a product that contains some particules similar to sand while use this cloth.
I did feel that my skin was dryer after using it and you can use the cloth again to rinse afterwards. The experience helped drying my skin more than anything I found.
In the end, I find that it is an ok product to use to remove makeup or wash your face at the end of the day.
-Easy to use
-Great for traveling
-Very soft cleanse
-Allows to scrub more problematic areas with a cloth
-Removes light makeup well, but can’t replace regular makeup removers (does very little against mascara or eyeliner)
-Didn’t find it hydrating, deeply cleansing or exfoliating
-Cloths can only be used one time (which I think is an unfortunate waste of a cloth)
-The box is a little big too big and bulky to use on the go. I with the container design would be more compact, maybe split the stack into and make the container flatter and longer?
I have more of a dry skin and was hoping this product will allow me to reduce my night routine to just one product since it claims to be so many things. Most of all, I was excited for a makeup removing and hydrating aspect of this product, however was disappointed after a couple uses. The cloths are really good, easy and soft cleansers, which allow you to scrub your face a little bit. They are also good if you wear no to little makeup (concealer and some blush), but do very little if you like to wear mascara, eyeliner or any heavy makeup, which I was pretty disappointed about. As well, the product claims to exfoliate and hydrate, but I didn’t feel any of that. Some reviewers claimed that the product dried their skin, but for me it just cleaned it without giving any extra hydration or dryness.
The main positives I found about this product is it’s a good alternative to carrying around bottles of cleansers and scrubs. As well, the cloths are a pretty good cleanser. It provides soft and gentle clean to your face if you follow instructions correctly and allows you to scrub a little using the wet cloth.
Overall, I think this is a great alternative to on the go cleansers and is a very gentle way to wash your face. However, this product failed to hydrate, exfoliate my skin or remove serious makeup. It is a good product but deserves three stars because it does not do ⅗ things it claims to be good at.
+ Removes all traces of makeup easily
+ Lathers up nicely
+ Save $$$ by cutting cloths in half = 2 months of makeup removing cloths
+ Doesn’t make me break out
+ Hasn’t caused any irritation or sensitivity issues
My daily minimal makeup look is at least concealer and powder or BB cream and powder but I do sometimes wear full coverage foundation and I always wear waterproof mascara. These cloths easily cut through the makeup, dirt, oil and mascara.
To make the tub of 33 cloths last longer, I cut the cloths in half and the halved cloths do just as well and still create plenty of lather. This
Having said that, here are the issues (some minor, some a dealbreaker):
There is way too much wrapping for this product. It would be nice if these companies with come up with packagting that is more earth friendly (and easier to open, as I struggled with getting the plastic off. I can live with this though.
What I cannot live with are the ingredients. I cannot even pronounce most of them....I cringe to think about what this is doing to my skin (and the environment).
I would kill for a product that is effective and ALL natural, this one really isn't.
So easy to use, works really good on removing make-up and exfoliating gently my skin in the shower.
Best thing to bring on trips since it is very lightweight, and takes no space in your luggage.
The new Grapeseed one is very versatile, works on normal skin but I have sensitive dry skin and it does a great job.
Would recommend strongly
