Either the Rexel shredder I bought has wrong size or these bags do

I bought the 23 litre bags knowing full well that they did not fit into the Rexel shredder that I purchased. The plan was to use the bags manually, outside of the shredder. The thing is... the Rexel shredder I own states it has a 12 litre bin in it (model 2101946UK)... but when I empty the contents of the 12 litre bin into the 23 litre bag, it fills it to "bursting point".

Either the bags are not 23 litres, or the shredder is not 12 litres. Regardless... they are both Rexel products, and one of them is incorrect.

May fit other Fellowes Shredders

Will fit Fellowes Powershred P70CM, if you are careful with the corners when inserting the bag. Shredder basket is taller than the bag, so fold over the tops of the bag sides/ends at a higher level. A few pieces might escape down the sides, but better than tipping the basket contents manually into a bag.

The product as described is good for what it does - makes life very easy. Put the sack in the shredder waste bin, shred 'til full, then lift out the sack. If priced at £31.58 for 120 sacks, that makes it 26 pence per sack; a little pricey, but acceptable if you have a backlog of shredding to get through, for example. Unfortunately you don't get 120 sacks, you get 20! Now it is £1.58 per sack, and that's just ridiculous. I returned this product and bought a roll of plastic refuse sacks from a supermarket, then transfer the contents to a large cardboard box when I have enough to justify it. The description is misleading and ought to be changed.

I found the pierced section of the bags weak enough for me to put my fingers through them at first, but once I realised this was a problem I've been able to avoid it and can now recycle those shreddings at last!

Arrived well packaged, even the box can be used for shreddings. Clear pictorial instruction on each bag. Mine are used in conjunction with another brand of shredder which involves transferring from bin to bag, minor problem. Certainly save loads of mess from spilled bits when re-cycle bin collected. (I am a domestic user)
