5.0 out of 5 starsGood basic lipstick. What's not to like?

I wasn't too sure about this lipstick on first sight as it looked at bit too brown, but once applied I found the colour was good - a darker neutral almost that goes with most of my clothes on the gold/orange/tan/green spectrum. It lasts fairly well and has a slightly gleam to it that's not a gloss. Adding a slick of a gloss on top means that it can be nuanced in various ways. So I've found it versatile, a good price, and one to keep in the handbag as a staple. I'm not quite sure its title 'Get Dirty' is a good one, but I guess it suits the younger market.
fantastic colour, being a nice cocoa colour. It went on easily and lasted fairly well, but I did find it very drying and my lips felt chapped afterwards. I did find moisturising my lips first and allowing that to soak in and then applying a moisturising top coat of balm over the top worked quite well, though. That's a bit faffy though, hence why the one star off.
4.0 out of 5 starsGreat lipstick, another colour would be good

This is quite a nice lipstick.Easy to apply and feels nice when on, it lasted through a coffee and later a meal. It is a moisturiser too and you can actually feel the moisturising effect. The only thing I disliked, sadly, was the colour. It is a deep purple colour and is just not for me. I wore it for some hours to test its longevity but kind of did a double glance each time I past a mirror. Great lipstick but could not wear colour
I love the colour of this lipstick. It is a nude colour but with enough pigment. It looks great with my skin tone an is great if you want a subtle look. It stays on for several hours and I only need to re-apply it once about after lunch. It lasted me the whole summer.
I'm usually a bit cautious about lipsticks that claim to stay on for hours as they are usually very drying on your skin. But this one isn't drying at all. It is quite a dark colour but I like that and rely does stay put. Great value for money too.
4.0 out of 5 starsNot my colour, but very conditioning! A good lipstick.

I'm reviewing the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick, 4 g, Get Dirty. Here are my thoughts:
^^ I thought I'd give this 'Get Dirty' coloured lipstick a try, and get The London Look, but this this colour is far too dark for my skin's complexion. Too intense and shocking. However, I'm sure not everyone will dislike it. On me it's so dark brown it's almost black. Especially if I apply it thickly.
^^ As to not waste it, I've taken to use it around the house and applying it very lightly it's just about manageable to wear - a pale brown colour. I think this would look much better on someone with darker skin tones. It's such a lovely colour, just not on me.
^^ Why still wear it? Because it's a very moisturising lipstick and my lips were quite chapped earlier on, but after applying this for a few days my lips have really improved.
Overall: Not my colour at all, but I'd buy different colours from this range, as it's really conditioning my lips making them lovely and soft and smooth.
A very smooth lipstick that applies easily and feels great on - almost like lip balm. However, because it's so soft it does bleed easily and the first time I tried it, I had it all over my teeth (not a good look!). It lasts well but does transfer to glasses etc. so some reapplication is needed throughout the day.
I liked the 'Get Dirty' shade but think it is a little dark for my skin tone - it's less pink than the picture and more of a russet colour. I'd definitely try some of the other colours though as overall it's a great lipstick!
